However, they would like to see the voting age abolished in favor of something more reasonable. They were giving their own personal opinions. NYRA's position is to lower the voting age to 16. There is credence to your voting age argument. A person below the age of 18 is a minor, and legally a child. They are not self supporting, do not pay taxes, and therefore should not be allowed to vote.
