Noticed that when you went to get Buddy you got in front of the drive line, the same as.you do in the round pen. If you got behind it, thus driving him away, you would have pushed him toward the people he wanted to go check for cookies. Just an observation...

I was told that ground tying is training the horse to stand with the rope not being tied....to accomplish this you bury a log and attach a rope or better a chain to it so that only a hook is above the ground, and you tie the horse to that...and train him the same way as sacking out to be tied...so your horse learns that if the rope is on the ground, stand still....is this wrong than, or a cowboy method? or something else all together?

we have a 32 year who we let out to meander around the front yard and eat, visit us, just whatever for a couple hours a day. People who come to our barn know who he is, but this idiot woman came up our drive way and started chasing him! She got her arms around his neck, and that old fart was about to chew her arm off since she intereupted his old man breakfast time. Apparently, she was a "horse expert" and our horse was loose and we had better keep him in a stall"......... luv ur techniques :)

@MysweetAnnabelle53 Oh........... you must hate women since you talk them, she was just trying to help...... NOT... she like many other Barn Witches need to mind their own business and stop trying to teach others their crappy techniques. Typical I know better, I have to save every horse, I have to save people who don't know horses, I have to stick my nose in others business since I am so knowledgeable and experienced. I see stupid everyday and I don't say anything - I make a video & leave it.

@horseawareness lol, u love that response and attitude towards hate mail and how people should mind their own business :) Actually, I'm a 15 year old girl, the complete opposite of what a good horse owner would be, but somehow, I completely agree that women have turned horses into a way to play pageant princess. I've been doing these techniques since I was 6, but i love your message and "i don't give a shit" attitude :P Don't let the idiots of the world stop you :)
