I have read the entire Avalon series.

Mists of Avalon is the longest of all of them and the best. Lady of Avalon totally rocked too.

I wouldnt bother with Forest house tho, would not read that one again. Ravens of Avalon was meh as well.

Rhiannon- I have read the rest (or most of) the Avalon series. Definitely a must read if you like The Mists and Marion Zimmer Bradley/Diana L Paxson. I just got Raven's of Avalon, (Written by Diana L Paxson, because I believe this was after MZB had passed) haven't finished it yet, though.

Currently reading the book, never ever realised there was a film, have to see if I can dig it out, Loreena McKennitt's haunting voice is perfect for the music. The book is brilliant, just hope the film does it justice!!!!

The film is very different from the book; It's actually simplify and alter alot of things; I wouldnt recommend watching it till you finished the book.

Thanks for that, I have actually abandoned the book for a while as I have a library book that needs to go back in the next few days as it has been booked by someone else, however, I will carry on reading it afterwards I think as I feel that the film was very sketchy and missed out a lot of what I would have thought of as important details. Unfortunatedly I found the film on here so I have already seen it, however, I dont think it is going to spoil the rest of the book for me!!

I loved the movie! It is still one of my faves! Of course it's gonna be different from the book (books are always better) and that book is huge! They had to cram a lot into a semi short amount of time. Yeah, the graphics were a little on the cheesy side, but I'd still recommend it to everyone!

The book is even better, its by Marion Zimmer Bradley. One that keeps your attention, and shows how two clashing ways of life (and religions)  can destroy, and yet be similiar in some ways.. and still keeping the legends of King Arthur intact. From a woman's perspective.

when you have the movie in the HD, in wmv ,avi or mpeg,its lotsa easier, you can import on win movie maker, and edit the part you want... but if you dont have the vid on your computer, you can grab the image on youtube itself, with an video capture,like my screen recorder, and then import with windows movie maker... see in my channel "to the celts" i have used pictures, but i have used movie parts, either from movies i have, than movies grabbed on video´s capturer. just a tip :)

My Mum actually named me Avalon after the book, "the Mists of Avalon". I read the book recently and LOVED it! I had also seen the movie as a child and watched it many times. Some people would call this vanity because it had my name in it but I have always been obsessed with myths, legends and fantasy. My love has simply increased as I grow older.
