you need to watch an orca capture and see how horrific it is, they scream like a babe, stressed out to the max and are hauled up in the air above their terriffied family and put on a truck/lorry in a sling, and that is a good enough reason to do this??? i see why people think sea world etc is a good place, because they show these wonderfull adverts, with them flying through the air and water, having close "bonds" with their trainers, but its not the case. !
@irishdanceruk 99 percent of the entire world will never be able to See a Orca or Dolphin in the wild. Making these parks and shows will allow people to see their natural wonder and beauty.
@sweetnessboy1 99 percent of the entire world will never see a snow leopard either...should we go drag some out of their home, put them in cages and make them do tricks to "allow people to see their natural wonder and beauty?"
@irishdanceruk SeaWorld havn't captured from the wild for over 30 years. All the whales live with their families, and the babies are born in captivity and don't know the ocean to miss it. They do actually have very close bonds with the trainers. They spend 3 years with them before they even get to get in the water.
Really? These are wild, inteligent animals that are capable of complex emotions, not play-toys. Stop selling this message of harmony when the animals denied their sense of echo-location, room to swim and when their close bonds are ripped up when they are sold to different aquariums, tanks ect. It's all about money. If people knew how captivity effected cetaceans, they wouldn't go to seaworld.
Can I use some footages for a video, please?

Even worse, the 'Shamu myth' conceals deaths from the paying public. Since the name
is passed from orca to orca, 'Shamu' never dies. In 1991, following the death of one of
the orcas at Sea World's Texas park, a spokesman said 'Shamu has not died today. One
of the whales who plays that role we lost this morning, yes. But Shamu lives on."Dying to Entertain You" Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society.
