Purchased this one on a 45 years ago after reading that it was a Buddy Holly soundalike. However; they also gave him credit in the mag as having recorded songs by Jimmy Crain, a completely different singer! Believe it or not, the 45 is on sale, USED for $601.00 on the GEMM site! Joe/ a Buddy Holly and Holly soundalike collector.
This record was recorded in Norman Petty Studios, Clovis, N.M., May 11, 1959. It features George Tomsco (Lead Guitar player for The Fireballs on guitar. If you've ever heard The Fireballs record "Cry Baby", at the end of the bridge part, there is a slick fade and turnaround to go back to the vocal part. Its used also on this recording, a kind of signature lick by George Tomsco. Imperial Record # X5592
