The states will fall and freedome will be restored. I'm myself tangled up in tax autorities in Denmark! They want me to pay! My options are to call in and wait half an hour in the Cue. Normaly they will not be able to answer. If they'd will give you an answer they will hide it in unbelivable complexity so that you'd have no transparency to be involved with all of the technical terms they use.
Not an appropriate response for something so minor. What happens when a real crisis arises? YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUFFER. Please, please seek help. Do it for your loved ones!
@slowhorse19 This is old news. I refused to pay the fine over a conflict of conscience, was allowed to do community service instead. Case closed. Who's the overly dramatic one here?
This is what I hate about Americans, always with their mud campaigns. Do yourself a favour and pick up a dictionary, search the word religion and read it. After that you can argue against statism like civilized people do.
Yep, I hear you. I'm aware that it sounds crazy to statists. Kind of hard to avoid that. There are people along the fringes of belief who are reachable though. I can't stress too much about that people who are thoroughly indoctrinated into irrational belief systems will scoff at me.
Thank you for the vid. Good points. I'm going to agree with you that the State is a cult - participation in a cult is contrary to my freedom of religion - and I don't believe in it.
A doctor who performs surgery to remove a tumor is not part of the body on which he is operating. He's there to remove tissue - not become a part of the body.
I am considering running for office. I will not become part of the State or the religion in so doing. I'll be there to cut - and stop the STate.
I agree with everything the author says, but when it comes to traffic fines, in a free society (no coercion), there would be consequences for driving on a private road (at least busy ones) for speeding or expired inspection tags etc... The difference of course is in a free society there would be no guns unless you get reckless on the road and persist to the point of the private owners needing to use force to stop you.
cont... As far as statism goes, while it's very intimidating to have such violent thugs (police) approach you when you get stopped for speeding, this example is relatively benign and does serve a purpose (however immorally implemented).
Lives are lost and ruined every day because of statism.
Great video. The first time I realized how religious this whole idea was I was at the DMV getting my license renewed. I remember the woman at the counter asked "Would you like to register to vote today?" I'm not sure exactly HOW I looked at her and replied, but she was clearly offended at my response. I remember thinking that this woman had some kind of emotional connection to the state. I mean.. why else would she have been offended?
Welcome to big government buddy. The same people that want you to pay you parking ticket now want to force you to pay for their health care. If they can now tow your car for not paying a speeding ticket think about what they will do if you don't pay for your health care.
@alique087 If your house is on fire is it better if it is a small fire or a big fire? Big government just means that government has more control over the things that the people do and the more control and laws they make the more it costs, which unfortunately, they have no way of controlling, because they won't ever need to. Because their money comes from you, and if you refuse to pay them they will just take what you they tell you that you owe them plus interest by the barrel of a gun.
@alique087 I think that if private education was able to compete with public that most people would chose private education. We are forced to pay for pubic education right now regardless if you pay for your children's own education and even if you don't have children at all. Even though their kids education is already bought and payed for many parents still chose private. Many people cannot imagine a world without the government to take care of our every need. But we can take care ourselves np.
@13R1CK4 I'm seeing what I think are contradictory responses. You said:
"Many people cannot imagine a world without the government to take care of our every need. But we can take care ourselves np."
If that's the case, why is a small government necessary or okay? You agreed before that a small government was okay, now you're seemingly saying we don't need it because we can take care of ourselves?
good video :) That's why many atheistic statists become very very jumpy when you reveal to them, that they actually has an irrational belief in state. And debating becomes very frustrating... For me and for my oponent. I try not to engage into debates like this with "atheists".
When they come to arrest you (and they will) they will say "I am placing you under arrest do you understand" tell them no you do not understand and you do not comply and that you have done nothing wrong. And more than likely they will not do anything to you. By agreeing and saying you understand that they are placing you under arrest you are giving them consent. I have done this multiple times and they ended letting me go after detaining me for an hour or so.
the language and rituals are indeed essential. I try to take it back inch by inch as well. Don't speak of 'we' if it is an involuntary group gathering and so on. It does have effect.
I could also choose to file an complain to them!! Yeah i can file and complain to THE TAX Autorities themself and for a fee of about 150$

Statetism is not religion. Religions are ghosts of old states!!!. Oh what ever you are correct.

The thing that really angers me about this video is how crazy you'd sound to someone who is part of this religion.

The religion part is called "The Ideological State".
The part where they use force (or the threat thereof) would be "The Marginal State".

Prehaps we need to come up with some sort of libertarian religon of our own and get it reonized. The Amish get special treatment : )

Me too. We are still a tiny, tiny minority but it seems (though I have no statistical evidence) that more people are adapting this view.
In 100 or 200 years people will look back at our time in the same way that we are looking back at the dark ages.
