  • nice vid bud im going to download it now

  • comodo sucks it spams me with popups

  • @TheHaloman980 All you have to do is turn off the Comodo Message Center. Just open up Comodo and then "More" -> "Preferences". Then uncheck "Enable Comodo Message Center"

  • It's the percentage of scan complete, as older versions did not have this. Even said this on the page that was being read, plus it would be impossible to have a percentage of viruses found. Just thought I'll point this out :p

  • comodo ftw

  • wts it mean to be isolated by the sandboxie?(IS the virus still in the system..)

  • @madhawarock It means the program is running in a virtual enviroment and is not supposed to be able to touch the machine if the sandbox is built correctly.

  • Fyi comodo not for dummies !

  • is the 5.8 premium your using free or is it a trial? and is it best to ues CIS free off there website or the 5.8 beta from malwaretips?

    thanks

  • some files are sandboxed, how do user know if it is a virus or safe....if user again run those files out of sandbox?

  • @karthik1eee Files cannot be moved out of the Comodo sandbox until they have been verified and whitelisted by Comodo. If the file is determined to be malware, it is automatically removed by the antivirus on the next round of signatures.

  • You didnt scan with Comodo before MalwareBytes!

  • @lukica11 I never have done it that way. . . . I don't do a scan with the engine I am testing. I have two engines that can tell me what is on the machine much faster and have high detection rates.

  • @rynesandbergfan23 Yes, but if you first scan with Comodo only then we will see the correct detection of AV and what he missing!

btw, you there is BitDefender 2012 can you test it (you can download as Trial)?

  • @rynesandbergfan23

What network adapter setting should i use under vmware if im testing malware because norton is poping up saying the network is being attacked when im testing in vmware? :S

  • @urban8fxs You need to shut Norton off. I use MBAM pro, and it does the same thing Norton does.

  • comodo reminds me of sandboxie.. ha

  • Even setting the sandbox to limited instead of partially limited can also help prevent dropped files. Comodo didn't really miss anything here. The computer was not infected. The computer did restart unexpectedly, but that's a pretty mild effect.

  • What is the memory usage, total please? And will it block all Ransom Ware?

  • sanndboxing with partually limited rights is not the real sandboxing,it just partually sandbox program, not fully.

It used to be like that and it wil be probably.

U can not give a partially limited rights if you fully isolate the application.

If defense + alert appears and give u a sanbox, allow and block, and u press sanbox button, than that is a different kind of sandboxing, and it will run in memory till next system restart.

  • Best. Intro. Ever.

    =p

  • The reason the exe slipped by was because it was set to partially limited if it was set to restricted or more it would have not done that. File dropping is normal with default sandbox settings.

  • @cheater87 Yes, but if it were set to restricted it would defeat the purpose of sandboxing. At that point why not simply put "block all." The idea of sandboxing is to run the program and see what it is but not let it touch your system.

  • @coyork15 It would still be restricted to the sandbox but not able to drop files all over.

  • good solid review. thanks.

  • Great review as always.

btw what do you use in your real OS, if I remember right it's MBAM PRO and Comodo as firewall (just the firewall enabled) ? If that's not it, please do tell the right one Sir, thanks.

  • I like how u keep cranking out videos.

  • I like the new look, good vid!

  • 00:28 to skip the long boring intro

  • @TheTechBite I am sorry, if you don't like my intro, you don't have to watch it. By the way, it is not that long. That is the recommended length for an intro.

  • @rynesandbergfan23 I happen to like your intro though. I think it is creative and colorful. Don't worry with it, your into is great! :) Great vids, keep up the great work!

  • @rynesandbergfan23 I LOVE the intro and the music :D

  • @rynesandbergfan23 i dont like the sound of the telephone

  • @TheTechBite i like his intro because it tells every one about his videos and stuff

  • Thanks for the review Nick.

  • Comodo has come along way.
