@TeeheeStupid The guy is soooo right. Caribou is not a good place to grow up. Not a good place to raise your children, and a horrible place for education. After attending school in several places throughout my 18 years of life i have noticed that the caribou schooling system now know as (RSU 39 i believe), Has the worst curriculum ever. You hear the same thing every day for a month straight. no clarification. no option to move ahead if you understand the material. They confuse you to tthe max.
@Tazzi2010 which is why i dropped out as soon as i could (age 16), and got my G.E.D. AT AGE 16. The only schools that understood my learning needs were whitewate valley in harrison, Ohio and Zipple elementary in Presque Isle, Maine.
For all of you considering moving to northern Maine...Dont do it!!! The southern part of the state is somewhat okay, but if you like to watch the potatoes grow, then Caribou is definitely the place for you!! haha!
Yep! Too bad that the AF base there got rid of all the nukes eh?? I just could not deal with the small town life. BTW, did the restaurant owners ever figure out OR get some "Ranch" dressing ordered for the customers to put on salad? I had to have my family in the west actually mail me some...Yep, looked kind goofy in the chow hall, but hey, I was not gonna give up my ranch dressing!! haha!
I lived there in the 80s. It was just too small for me...no shopping malls, very small town, No major ski resorts in area. Really nothing to do there. I guess I am just a Big City person, but hey, whatever town or city makes one happy is where they call home.
meh. thats a bad thing "people know you". That explains why i no longer consider that place as a town. As far as im concerned it needs to be blown off the face of the earth. Give me thumbs down, but i've lived here for 12 or 13 years. The people are ignorant. Officers are crooked, i mean honestly an officer pulled me over and tried to give me a ticket for driving with someone in my car that was over the age of 21 and has had their license for 4 consecutive years.....junk town if you ask me.
