i cant take up my leg straight and when i put my hands on the ground all my weight is going to my arms and shoulders and i´m afraid of falling over please fit for a feast help me
Okay i need to know how to do this for my sport, i can pretty much do the forwards splits on the floor, but when i try a needle my leg doesnt go any higher than a 135degree angle, i cant use a wall cuz i end up going into a handstand, my leg just refuses to go up but i know it can. Very frustrating XD Hope you can help and sorry for the paragraph.

Your parents are amazing. You girls seem so well rounded! Not only are you guys talented because your parents signed you up for all these lessons, they will also benefit you very much when you get older. You can easily get into a preforming arts high school! Unlike you guys, I have no talent! I can't do a thing! Not even a split. I'd just like to point out that a needle is also referred to as a 6 o'clock. I know it's kinda random but I didn't know what the video was about in reading the title. That's just how I learned it. I know it doesn't really matter but in my opinion I find it kind of interesting to find out alternate names for steps.
@popx598 It is harder than the splits because you have to lift & hold the leg in the air. You need to work on your splits first & then you can practice these - & try the stretches against the wall
@iluvdancegym When you're in the needle, pull your hands right by your feet and make sure you're looking at your knee. It helps to put your nose to your knee, that will pull your leg up higher.
