@WestPlainsFD so in essence turning the brushfire into a forced air forge that readily consumes fuel? or using a blower to quickly identify hotspots? thanks
@mchunterfd Our personnel go by their DSN with fire dept being 400 series. Starting with 401-chief, 402-asst chief, and so on with Captains in the teens, Loutinants in the 20's, Engineers in the 30's and 40's, and POC's after that.
@mchunterfd 4601 is our designated fire dept identification number. so all our apparaus start with the number 46, the next number is the station number, and the last number is the truck number. So 4611 is station 1 engine 1, 4622 is station 2 engine 2, 4633 is station 3 engine 3, 4626 is station 2 rescue 6, 4614 is station 1 aerial 4, etc. Haz Mat apparatus follow suit.
In my dept I got in trouble for having a video driving by a fire scene that was cleaned up, stuff everyone could see if they drove by, nothing like this.
what kind of radio do you have?
