This sound, groove, style or whatever u call it inspired so many gospel & secular artist of yesterday and 2day. Think of Jodeci...that's all JPK. JPK was the 1st to give us a fun choir. No ROBES, individual mikes for the sections, & remixing songs live.This dude is a genius & a legend. John will draw a six year old to a 90 year old into his concerts in the same setting. NO OTHER ARTIST CAN DO THAT. @ concerts 2day John is singing his hits and still reaching the youth of today w/ them

Well I gotta say then in defense of the gospel music now, is an undiginified praise. It is a personal preference. I happen to like all forms of gospel music but I would rather give an undignified praise and dance like David did in Church than to be up in somebody's club. Say Amen! It helps relieve the pressure!

Man, I know that Gospel Music should thrive and advance but there are artist like this man that you wish would continue to lead the way and sound of Gospel. Personally, from 2000-2010 Gospel hasn't struck oil. We've got good songs that are okay but something about John P. Kee changed Gospel for the better in the 90's. I'm not hating on anybody. Just saying. Something's got to change. We've lost substance in our music.
