I usually just bring a zippo along with me. But this certainly works too! I like it. Gonna buy a larger flint and shove it in the middle of a lanyard I made for extra protection. Nice work!
Cool thought, but why would you not just tie off a larger firesteel? Cold weather destroys your fine motor skills fast. Something that small would be hard to use if you are dying of hypothermia
you can. I just wanted to show that you can Have a fire starting system on your knife with out adding weight. By no minds should anyone rely only of this tip. And yes you have a really good point. but then again i just could have tied off the whole entire bic lighter on the lanyard and have an outstanding fire starter.
