  • @Gonzoidz CRACKERS DREAM TO HAVE BIG DICK!

  • CNN, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, THE SCIENCE CHANNEL MILITARY CHANNEL THE HISTORY CHANNEL. All perverted by RUPERT MURDOCK, Can't trust them. History Channel portrays the Pharaohs with WHITE actors. I saw their documentary today on GHENGHIS KHAN. They used real live AUTHENTIC MONGOLIANS. From the other side of the moon. CLEOPATRA may have looked like LIZ TAYLOR. But CLEO was not BACK in THE DAY. CLEO is closer to TODAY, US, than the PHARAOHS. Because ALEXANDER invaded just 1000 yrs ago.

  • Research :The Original Black Cultures of Eastern Europe and Asia

And their first contacts with the invading White People of Central Asia

    This site expalins it all.

  • Stop arguing with these silly white people or whoever about the color of Ancient Egyptians. We can see by the statues, painting and artifacts that these people were black Africans. Not only were the Egyptians black Africans--the Israelites were black as well. Here is my proof from the bible (Amos 9:7: Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD.) . Thank you for telling me to correct my grammar. This debate is over. Keep it moving silly rabbits.

  • @thewiseoneman you talking about nubians. and yes there was many jews imigrating in etiopia and erritrea. there are jews in every country.

  • Well by watching this it seems the white man himself is saying that it was an african civilization! now what can whites say when confronted by a person of there own race he clearly just said the pharoahs were african and basically all of egypt and the east.

  • im from mecca,they where black!!!except it!

  • If you were to prove that all Egyptians were black, whites will stop respecting the Egypitans and cling on to the much inferior "civilization" of ancient greece and raise it as the absolute civilization of the world

  • @umerayub that is so true, white people are something else, if you are white then you need to here this

  • tO UNDERSTAND e

EGYPT PROPERLY, COMPARE ITS ARTISTIC EXPRESSION WITH GREECE. WHEN YOU DO THAT YOU MUST CONCLUDE EGYPT DOES NOT HAVE ANY ROOT IN EUROPE AS A CULTURE OR CIVILIZATION. THIS ISNT EVEN DEBATABLE IT IS ACCEPTED ALREADY

  • Taharqa!! Cant wait for Will Smith to finish up "The Last Pharaoh" !!!

  • @747t I think will smith is to light to play taharqa that is no better than cleopatra

Will smith is the same shade as ramseys the great

  • Just Google Taharka

  • @fungusamogus Well I'm Nubian and I had a friend like you in high school who said "I'm not Black, I'm Egyptian."

When she wasn't around her White "friends" would call her the "nasty BLACK spider" or the "Sand Nigger".

Being Black in the modern world is not about complexion, it's a state of being. You original Egyptians live in the worst conditions of the country. You're ridiculed and scorned and have been powerless of thousands of years; You Are Niggas.

  • @iArsalan some people dont like to be described as 'black'. The word 'black person' confers nothing about where a person comes from his believes, culture or way of life. So it does depend in what context your friend was using it in. I for one think it can be disrespectful just to say someone is black - I try to find where they come from and use that term

  • @iArsalan : your nubian, are u from Nubia, i mean are u from the nubian tribe thats speaks nubian?

  • @hummingbird975 Yes I am from a Nubian tribe on my father's side. I didn't call anyone "Black" or use that as a description. I was countering his use of the words "Black" and "Niggers" as exclusive to AfroAmerica. Those words are used to describe Egyptians, particularly those in the South. Even policy makers in the US government distinguish between "white" and "black" Egyptians.

My point is, if you're in the same situation what difference does it makes what they call you? Work together.

  • @fungusamogus Why so much hate? Apes? I'm not sure you've read my comments correctly because nothing you've said is in agreement with anything I've said.

Point of fact, the Ancient Egyptians were Negroes In the truest sense of the word. The word negro derives from Latin; niger. The Romans used the words niger and mauri whenever they described Egyptians, both words mean black. There is no text from Greeks, Persians, or Romans describing them as anything other than Black skinned and wooly haired.

  • @iArsalan My original point was a call to action. Instead of romanticizing the past and arguing to whom the greats belonged, be great yourself! Many Afrocentrists have much in common with racists like yourself; you claim a great ancestry but you are not great.

White-supremacists boast Western "progress" but ignore that it's caused unprecedented suicidal destruction and horrors.

Others boast a great antiquity but are abject in their own impotence and ignorance.

Be great! Then you can speak.

  • Negros couldnt invent the wheel never mind build a pyramid.

  • that video really hurt you your racial pride jus back fired those greek coward are like children compared ancient africans all of your knowledge comes from africa EVERYTHING YOU PINK MUTATN BEAST.....

  • hump back Caveman historian

Don't pay attention this white Neanderthal, we made him into half the man he is.

they are the babies of the planet messing up things!

(what god has loved they could never hate)

they are are the ones with no history, their history is the caves of Europe!

  • @corrado47 Calling you retarded would be an insult to retarded ppl. Show us the great technologically advanced civilizations of modern day africa. Tell us of all the great modern space stations from Africa, or even a shred of evidence. show us a single written language from sub-Saharan africa. If all Europeans did was "steal" the great ideas of blacks in Africa then why don't Africans have a civilization NOW, TODAY that surpasses all others? Trying to belittle whites shows your stupid jealousy.

  • @vhettsrevenge Europe are the Best Thieves that ever exisited!!! Read ya history its built on The Backs Of The Blacks!!!! Look it up STOLEN LEGACY!!!! !Wake ya you retard!!!

  • @vhettsrevenge

We have ancient egypt. Who were the first scientist, doctors and astronomers. Rome and greece combined do not equal ancient egypt

  • You white people are crazy! You just can't beleave what is right in front of you! Your rule is over and your doom is insight!!

  • @1pitchblack you can't even spell believe and it's YOU and your ilk who r parasites to everyone yet ALWAYS complaining that's about to be "over" you dumb fucktard. Everyone is sick of U using resources creating hell wherever U live & contributing exactly NOTHING to advance human kind. YOUR doom was sealed thousands of years ago. U and YOUR ilk will NEVER rule over the ppl who have brought U EVERYTHING u use in your pathetic life including the internet u TRY 2 use and insult us with. FAIL

  • @vhettsrevenge You and your people stole everything from EGYPT CRACKER! GOOD LUCK WITH THE SUN BEAST!

  • @1pitchblack They know the truth,,Thats why they hate blacks so much where ever we go.

  • Black pharaohs are from southern Egypt (Aswan, Luxor and Nubia) and not from Nigeria and Ghana also believed Negroes

No way to steal the history of Egypt try again Dear Nigger

Does not mean that most of the black pharaohs they were from South Africa because the sun overlooking the whole world

  • Black people are fucked up! Man, I'm glad I'm white & only have to look at the last couple hundred years to see how my race & people are glorious. Unlike Black people who have to desperately try to claim any kind of history they can to try & earn some respect & self worth. Besides, what White people have accomplished over the last 70 years alone completely overshadows something like Ancient Egypt by 1,000,000,000%!

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers you are an idiot there is nothing about the white race to be proud of your people are oppressors they have robbed and killed every people of colour on the planet

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers , yes keep on dreaming , we dont care about was has been accomplished today or what will be accomplished in 500 yrs , which is important is without blacks people your miserable albinos race would first has never been born but after all had never known knowledge from romans that civilized your barbarians ancesters living under caves , the african man no matter his situation today is the original man on earth and you will never take it away from him lool

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers Inglorious Bastards!!! Check your 'HIStory' to see how many genocides it took achieve the white race's so called 'accomplishments'. Everything you have you stole, killed, or deceived someone out of. This just shows the depths a wicked people would descend to destroy/rewrite history. Why not preserve these ancient monuments? Why the brutality of slavery & Jim Crow? Why the Atom bomb? You wonder why scientists spend so much time studying Ancient Egypt? They're STILL learning

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers if it weren't for the strides made by ancient Islamic people as well those in China, a lot of "white achievements" that you're so proud of wouldn't be possible. I'm talking compass, astronomy, mathematics, gun powder, invention of wheel, paper, printing, modern surgical instruments, distillation and hundreds of other inventions that have contributed to the development of western society.

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers as matter of fact, a lot of European scientists & experts wouldn't be alive or rather, their achievements wouldn't be possible if these critical inventions weren't made.e.g. the printing press invented in china allowed ppl to access knowledge like never before . Anaesthetic were invented by Muslim doctors as was the first pin-hole camera. The pointed arch associated with European gothic cathedrals were borrowed from Islamic architecture.

  • @LeafsFlamesAndOilers an idiotic comment mande, naturally, by an idiot..

  • i'm egyptian and i'm black. it offend's me when whites and arabs try to claim egypt

  • @azzhoul09 I'm not Egyptian but It also makes me very upset.

  • If true then some white Genarations been lost from the Turth there was Black Egypt its in africa and Who rules it now only ones living there. The people leaving in egypt are not white atless not americans we have evidence of black egypt, now we need to get to where was the real invaders of egypt are from can't be all of whites are not from one place thats who to call out on this if its True we got to do it Civil for we can get the Truth out Please Martin Luther Kings Dream peace

  • no you are arab my friend. not nubian. nubians are pure black africans

  • The Arabs are currently involved in overthrowing Sudan as well. Not just for oil, but for cultural reasons. There are thousands of paintings statues and temples throughout Sudan as well that are identical to the ones in Egypt. They will not talk about these Sudanese arti-FACTS, but YOU can view them on You-Tube. They have not yet been able to conquer Sudanese Africans. But they keep this all secret for now.

  • Here is one of the whites own scholars. Herodotus is considered the father of white history. He arrived in Egypt 3000 years ago and described what he and whites saw for the first time. If they cannot accept that Kemet wrote their own history in Black paintings, writings, statues that can be seen from space, then may be they can accept the words of one of their own. Or they may just be bastards that cannot accept truth.

  • Does that make it more credible that some white dude is claiming it?

    Lies

Afro-centrics created a Black Jesus too.

  • Today the whole history is based on eurocentrism, and that wasnt hard to do since modern history schoolbooks which are accepted as "facts" were written by europeans themselfs.Strange all great civilisations in history belonged to white people and guess who, white people. So this means 80 % of the worldpopulation did nothing else then spin their fingers the whole history lang. But actually they had nothing behalve ancient Greece and Rome.

ancient Egyptians were black for sure, and im no african.

  • slavery is over!

your days of stealing our African identity are over!

your days of white-washing African history and contribution to human civilization are over!

    this is not 14 70, its 2010

    deal with it!

  • Im not fucking white washing anything you idiot, if you cant read what I wrote then don't reply.

  • afro centrics invent lol? by that i assume you mean black people sit around and fancy themselves as being egyptian or being jesuslol you areso dumb and brain washed by white academia that when i whiteman tells you the truth you call it lies because you are a racist white bitch who feels blak people have no contribution to society. but we are the founders creators and builders of society you on the other hand came from caves and youve got tales you tube that ans see for youself

  • you just keep on promoting midgets you probaly are a midget ha ha ha ha ha lol lmbao short peopl got no reason short people got noreason shortpeople got no reason to live thet got lil arms lil feet and lil cars that go beeep beep beep lol

  • midgets lies midgets lieslol

  • Afro-centrism is not about creating myths.. true Afro-centrist observe history from the African perspective which tends to be different from the euro-centered perspective taking into account a precolonial history prior to the arab and european invasions. clowns running around talking about Black Jesus neither have a clear understanding of history nor are they Afrocentrist, considering the fact that Judaism and christianity are not native African religions.. Read Dr. Clarke & Dr. Diop.

  • Actually the story of genesis is said to have come from Africa.. The first people on earth called the San, were not black or white, but the very first civilization that later gave birth to all races, so to have an any race-centric view of this is wrong. I have read Diop, unfortunately Diop is him self eccentric and considered by a lot of archeologists as racist. If you look at what all the scientific facts say, and the fact that the San are still there. They look nothing like black people.

  • Are you referring to the Koisan peoples of Southern Africa? There is absolutely no evidence that proposes that they were the first humans or the oldest ethnic groups and even if there was some evidence of this claim, They are still Africans, Black people! You have to first understand that the concept of "human races" is foremost a false European construct. Once you understand this fact you can have a clearer view of what Black actually means, that is the people of the African Diaspora.

  • ...by the way, you can dismiss Dr. Diop as an "afrocentrist" but that claim is no valid refutation of his work or the evidence he has presented.. The fact remains that Dr. Diop has shown ethnic ties across the African continent to Ancient Kemet. He as shown how modern expressions of Art and culture were born in Ta Mrry and his claims have been backed up by credible White scholars as in this video.. so to simply dismiss him as an Afrocentric without evidence is not only ignorant, it's racist.

  • If he sees evidence from a racial point of view, that makes his opinion tainted or bias, but even if you don't take his bias opinion into account.. a landslide majority of archeologists completely disagree, especially now with mitochondrial DNA. Look even on the AAA's website, they have an official statement on race and the Egyptians. Npt o

  • Your video provides no evidence that Khoisan are not related to other African ethnic groups. Furthermore, the video leads one to believe in the premise that the Khoisan are the oldest while no proof is provided for that initial claim. The oldest proto-homo-sapien remains have been found along the great rift valley in Ethiopia which your narrator completely bypassed. The Nile extends to lake victoria.. thus, the nile valley civilization, of which Kemet is a part, is indeed African..

  • Yes it does... there were no other africans then.. it was just the San, the first humans!it followed the genetic walk of man from the first people, through asia and india, to russia and north and south America. Notice how the typical white and black people weren't featured because they...

  • came much later in the evolutionary time line, Plus the proof is in the genome that they were the people that all colours came from. They just have to be careful how they say it because crazies like you get pissed off.

  • @SocialistReign that they the San?or that they Africans, African pygmiies are the oldest people on the planet

  • this comment proves beyond a doubt that you are ignorant about anthropology. the Human family tree is not linear.. it branches. your video suggested that the San are the oldest.. there is not proof offered for that initial claim but assuming that statement is true, what makes you think that other Africans aren't at least almost as old as the San? If you ever read anything about apartheid in Zim and S.A. you would know that this notion of the Khoisan being distinct is a relatively new concept.

  • LOL the ironic because the thought of white egypt came from Eurocentrics, this is why you think whites built it when you had nothing to do with it and was not in even in Africa at the time of it's start. So if you dismiss Dr. Diop then you will have to dismiss the others, which bring its back to Africa and the Africans. DNA proves it being African Eb3 is African not white.

  • @SocialistReign read DIop seriously he is no racist not in the least bit you might actually appreciate the things you read

  • watch?v=B-XhjhPxJeg

  • @SocialistReign not only were the san black the san are black unto this day

  • The first humans had to have had positive blood type! why? because humans with this blood type can give blood to any Race of people on this earth; no matter what they look like! And from that Universal donor all the other blood types came into existence! Race & phenotype mean nothing but geographical adaptations! The Concept of Race is stupid! It is used to create Social Class, Privilege , Prestige, Capital, Disease, Poverty, Hatred, Labor, War, & Psychological Warfare! Race, an archaic view

  • A fucking men to that! I'm tired of this "jesus was white!" "NO he was black!" shit.. I cant wait until the day they're both bread out of existence so that this world can move on like civilized people.

  • Remember the one drop black rule! It doesn't just go for the Western Hemisphere is goes for he east as well. Long live Black Egypt!

  • provide DNA evidence to shut up your critics

  • I will say this! go to "Journey of Man" here on youtube! there you will find Dr. Spencer Wells who is white and has blue eyes and blond hair who takes you around the world, with DNA evidence to prove that every person who ever lived and is alive, that there DNA is Black! It was sponsored by IBM & National Geographic! Prove DNA wrong! DNA makes us Human ; without it you would be another kind of creature! you would in fact , not be Human!

  • DNA exists in all known living creatures.. Humans, chickens, worms, ants, trees, all known life.. DNA analysis is just a method for determining origins, it is not method for defining humanity.

  • I am not an Afrocentrist! And I have no Anger or hatred of anyone! I am Brazilian and American and Mongolian! I have no argument with you! But DNA determines if you and I are human! It is the essence of what makes us Humans! Worms & chickens dont care about DNA! All Human Blood is the Same! All Human DNA is the same! Every one gets old; every dies; every loves; and every hates! Like i said before . . watch Journey of Man on youtube! What it proves is is that all people are One Family! Peace

  • Oh i agree with you for the most part. there are some alleles that are more common in certain populations than others and there are some genetic markers that can differentiate differtences amongst cultural groups but, like you said, there is NO speciation amongst men. However, I do happen to consider myself an Afrocentrist; my ancestors were mostly of Africa and I have shared in the hardship of being of Black African descent.. This video is not about DNA, it's about our stolen heritage.

  • But that's NOT black! They he even said they have features of caucasian, negroid and asiatic! Just because they had a brown skin adaptation to the sun, doesn't make them black, at the same time, they were far from white as well! You completely just heard what you from that film.

  • LOL way too go, trying to keep the 1800's dream a live but it all for nothing because you are not our people and will never be. Whites want to speak of greatness but this greatness has nothing to do with them. When you can disprove the Qustul findings which has proven 2 b hundreds of years before the beginning of Egypt, with the White crown, our Christ Horus and 12 Pharaohs. So until you can prove that whites were there (Ta Seti) first too, you can lose the thought of a White Egypt all together.

  • and cultural divergence in turn for you Aforcentrist who continue to live in the white mans race world!!

Of these factors would surely lead to people of such a different phenotype to large to consider the same race!!

according to S.O.Y Kieta the Egyptians posesed varying phenotypes and skin tones from pale to dark from negroid and Caucasoid !!Exactly what you see today comparing Ancient Egypt to the Americas is an Epic fail according to DNA studies on modern Egyptians!!

  • it is clear and event threw genetic studies you can't compare European people to African people!

European people from Spain to Germany from Germany to Romania ETC ETC are a very closley related people on Native people of the Americas have less genetic diversity!!Africans are some of the most genetic diverse place on earth where phenotypes greatly vary way more so than Europeans or Native people of the Americas not to mention much more natural barriers which leads to more phenotypical divergence

  • I think you misunderstand the concept of genetic diversity.. a person does not have genetic diversity, a region does. since Africa is more than 4 times as large as europe it can be expected to be more genetically diverse. that is to say, your argument own shoots you in foot because evidence of more diversity lends to the so-called 'Afro-centric' notions that Africans first populated europe and eropeans developed our of that more limited genetic stock.

  • This argument over weather the Ancient Egyptians were Black is getting tired. I think Kola Boof's uncle in Egypt put it best when he said, "...they argue about weather the Egyptians were Black. Don't they know that we are still here?"

There is a recognized indigenous populations residing in the Southern Egypt. They look just like Ethiopians and are greatly oppressed. The Kemetians are in Egypt as Native Americans are in the Americas.

Stop arguing and start helping our brothers and sisters.

  • ok then how do you explain that arabics came in africa 700 after christ , and how do you explain the colour on the wall of the pharaos , arabics or egyptians of today stil have a white skin , we called them arabics because of their features but they still have a very light skin , so ligth that you wouldnt paint them as dark redish brown , today in sudan the original nubians blacks are been pushed down to the south of africa whereas they use to be the aborigene , the same happened in egypt

  • Now in 200 years when the last native of america will disapear through mixing with the population from europe who will then be considered as the ancient americans , you probably gone tell me that they were europeens that are still there today ?? it is nonsense , the arabics invaded egypt , pushed the black to the south , helped by the mixed raced , just as it happen now in sudan , where mix race arabics are pushing the aborigene back of sudan down to subafrica it is very not hard to understand

  • @modjuye

Gross over generalizations about Europeans phenotypes also the concept of the white race and black race are European concepts in the last couple hundred years in ancient times nobody knew what a black race was or a white race there was no European or African!! Hypotheticals such as look at America what happened to the Natives?I.E so that means the same things in Egypt are not going to prove anything on the Race of Egyptians !!

  • Big up...true words. Ethiopians vary in complexion from reddish to dark brown and they are the original Egyptians. I find it crazy that white people from as far north as Iceland want to claim some sort of ethnic affinity with Egypt while denying the obvious.

Let all people stand together and respect ancient Kemet for her contributions to our currennt culture

  • @iArsalan I know Ancient Egyptians are black. Does not take a rocket scientist to look at the images coming out of ancient egypt and you can tell what the people living their were black. Anyone who is arguing the fact is a damn fool, or just uneducated.

  • @iArsalan

Would hug you if I could get to you!

  • @iArsalan 1) Upper Egyptians don´t look "just like Ethiopians", their phenotype is quite diverse. 2) Why do you think that they are oppressed?

  • @Ayazidas 1) Have you ever been to Upper Egypt and seen the Baladi, Seadi and other indigenous people? If so then you wouldn't even raise such uninformed points.

Phenotype? You sound like a racists from the 1960s. Credible scientist don't even use the term phenotype in reference to humans anymore, because no phenotype can be scientifically attributed to any human population. All the current research in genetics has forced those racists concepts out of scholarly discourse.

    Race is an illusion.

  • @Ayazidas 2) They're oppressed for the same reason Nubians, Dinkas, Shilooks, Darfuri, and many others are oppressed in the Sudan; Arab Nationalism.

A false Arab identity coupled with strong nationalistic governments has wreaked havoc on the region since independence. Arab nationalism has proven an abysmal failure yet the old guard still clings to it and ruthlessly silences dissent. As such, ethnic groups who refuse the Arab identity are greatly oppressed.

    Race consciousness is a sickness.

  • @iArsalan

    LOL

You are using Arabic terms without even knowing what they mean. "Baladi" means simply "local", in this context "Egyptian", it´s doesn´t have connection to a specific ethnic group inside of Egypt. "Saidi" (not "Seadi") means "Upper Egyptian" (from the area between Cairo/Beni Suef down to Aswan), so it´s just a denomination from everybody from that area, no matter how he looks like.

  • @Ayazidas Furthermore. I speak Arabic along with several other languages. I know perfectly well what Baladi means. From the root Blad which is land or country as in Blad as Sudani "land of the Blacks". Baladi, in Egypt, is a reference to the "country folk" who moved into the cities from the rural villages throughout Egypt. Baladi and Saidi are both references to indigenous Egyptians.

Unlike you I speak from experience, not from someone's book.

  • @iArsalan

"I speak Arabic along with several other languages"

I highly doubt it. First, it's not "Blad as Sudani" but "Bilad as Sudan (بلاد السودان) and Saidi (good that you have already learned how to spell it correctly) is not a generic reference to "indigenous Egyptians" but Upper Egyptians. Somebody from a village in el Minufiya is also an indigenous Egyptian, although he is not Saidi.

  • @Ayazidas Ana yaqul Arabi fuseh. You would contend with me over something as insipid as how I transliterate vowels from Arabic into English? You're clearly a sophist who retreats into distraction when presented with facts he cannot contend.

  • @Ayazidas The fact remains that you have present NO evidence to the contrary. Only conjecture and baseless opinions about a society you do not know. I watch the news too but when I want to find out what's really going on, I go to the ground and talk to the people. I have been across Africa from Mali to Egypt and spoken with common people and government officials alike.

That doesn't make me an expert but unlike you I won't comment on something unless I have some understanding of it.

  • @iArsalan I am really curious how did you speak with those Saidi farmers. Your Arabic leaves a lot to be desired, to say the least: "Ana yaqul Arabi fuseh", this sentence doesn't make any sense it's like "I he says Arabic fuseh" I am not sure what you meant with that last word. فصحى?

  • @Ayazidas A Palestinian friend of mine told me how he was speaking to his children in fuseh (classical Arabic) and an African man stared him puzzled. Then the African asked him in fuseh "you speak classical Arabic". My Palestinian friend laughed and said, "You African are the only ones who commonly speak classical Arabic."

Of course it would be strange to you because you obviously don't speak classical Arabic. Likewise, my other statements are seem strange because you know nothing about Egypt.

  • @iArsalan If there are errors in my spelling and typing, I apologize, it's the comp programmer in me, I often type too fast. =D

As for this discussion, it is now Ramadhan and I fear to continue down this path may cause me to break my fast with anger. So I will speak no further with you on this subject about which you are clearly in ignorance.

    Peace be upon you.

  • @Ayazidas Yoohoo! Remember me? Remember our little debate about the state of Egyptian society. You were so certain that all my comments about the oppression and inherent corruption of the Egyptian government were completely unfounded and exaggerated. Well while siting and talking to my Egyptian friends about current Egyptian revolt and how it's long overdue, I thought of you. ^.^

I wonder what arrogant sophistic arguments you have to make now...

lol You Arab nationalists are always so blind.

  • @iArsalan Our debate was mainly about the identity of Upper Egyptians. You were claiming that they are oppressed by the government because they allegedly refuse to consider themselves Arabs (without any proofs, BTW) Then you wrote that "Egypt has the most repressive and corrupt bureaucracy in Africa and the Muslim world", which is quite doubtful (are Zimbabwe or Nigeria less corrupt and repressive than Egypt?).

P.S.: I am not an Arab, neither "Arab nationalist".

  • @Ayazidas I did present proof, you choose to ignore it. As for Zimbabwe and Nigeria... yes they are less repressive and corrupt because the central government lacks the resources to impose it's power outside of their respective capitols. The majority of their people's, living outside the major cities, are semi-autonomous.

Egypt's military receives over $1billion annually in US aid and operates a shadow economy throughout the society.

  • @iArsalan Well, it doesn't make these regimes less repressive, corrupt and violent, just less "efficient" in enforcing of their authority, if anything.

  • @Ayazidas Furthermore, the fact that you didn't even know what I meant when I said "Baladi" (the most culturally popular ethnic group in Egypt) coupled with the two examples you proffered in your last argument, shows that you are completely ignorant of the reality on the ground in any African state; your knowledge extending no further than the talking heads on the news.

The depth of your blind ignorance reminded me so much of Arab nationalists' talking points that I associated you with them.

  • @iArsalan I am not quite sure why you are responding in such a rabid tone, but I find it quite funny that you are accusing me of ignorance when you clearly don't even know how to write a correct sentence in Arabic. "Baladi" is not an ethnic group, it´s the adjective of the word "balad" (city, country) and it simply means "local, rural".

  • @iArsalan As for the identity of the Upper Egyptians, if you are saying that they refuse to call themselves Arabs, it only proves that most of your knowledge actually comes from some "black history" or "black pride" forums, and are not based on any serious research of this problematic.

  • @iArsalan Upper Egypt was heavily influenced by Arabian bedouin tribes which settled there as late as in the 19th century and it is culturally probably the most "Arab" part of Egypt, with many people tracing their origin to these tribes. Of course, Upper Egypt is probably still the part of Egypt which has been less affected by foreign invasions but your claims that its inhabitants don't consider themselves Arabs is based on - what?

  • @Ayazidas The words of the Upper Egyptians themselves. I don't know from which Wikipedia article you're getting your info but it's a truism amongst Egytians that the bulk of the indigenous population is in the south. I doubt you're from Egypt so you're probably confusing "Upper" with "North".

The population of Kom Ombo, in Upper Egypt, is almost entirely Sa'idi and Nubian. You know nothing of the Baladi and Sa'idi who are in the majority in Upper Egypt.

Your ignorance on this matter is abject.

  • @iArsalan I suppose that you must be drunk or something. I already told you that the term "Baladi" doesn't denote any ethnic group living inside of Egypt. It just means "local". Sa'idi (the adjective of the noun Sa'id - Upper Egypt; the plural is Sa'aida, as you certainly know) means simply "Upper Egyptian" and, again, it is not a name of any specific ethnic group in Egypt., just of anybody who lives in that area.

  • @Ayazidas You actually referred to Egyptians and East Africans as having different "phenotypes", which is abjectly racist, and your ignorant of the conditions faced by various ethnic groups within Egypt. I cite history and quote native Egyptians and you counter by quoting some obscure book? Even the quote itself is employing anecdotal evidence. You're an armchair intellectual and not a very good one at that. You digress wildly and can't even keep to the original thesis about Arab Nationalism.

  • @iArsalan Anyway, since the discussion you apparently doesn't lead anywhere, I would just like to recommend you to spare a few minutes of your time and to really read that "obscure" book, instead of writing BS on the net, commenting things which you know nothing about and rabidly insulting people who disagree with you.

You can find the quoted chapter here:

    halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/docs/00/15/04/03/PDF/Saidiidentite.pdf

  • @iArsalan Until you add something intelligent to the topic, consider our discussion to be finished.

  • @Ayazidas You're still avoiding the elephant in the room. My first comment was about Arab nationalism and you've nit picked around the bush about every bit of minutiae you could find but the main topic. Arab nationalism plagues the so-called Alam al-Arabi and you've offered not one comment to counter this, the thesis of my first statement.

You've proven nothing but your own blind ignorance, even in the face of the greatest proof unfolding before your eyes; the Egyptian revolt.

  • @Ayazidas Islam equates nationalism to racism and strictly forbids it in Al-Quran. Why you "Arabs" persist in defending it is beyond me. "Arab" is no longer simply a tribe but now a nationalistic identity seeking to obliterate diversity; so in that vein you vary much an Arab.

But it is not my responsibility to lead people to truth, nor could I.

I can only speak it to the face of power and ignorance. If you refuse to recognize it, that's on you.

    I'm done speaking to you.

  • @iArsalan It is obvious that the Upper Egyptians are the majority in Upper Egypt. I would also like to know where did you find the information that "it's a truism amongst Egytians that the bulk of the indigenous population is in the south". If it is supposed to mean that the Upper Egyptians are considered to be less mixed than the people in the north, maybe, but they are in no way "pure".

  • @Ayazidas Furthermore, you know nothing of the traditional religious practices of the Baladi, who still visit shrines and make offerings as opposed to going to the Masjid. Or the very common ridicule of the Sa'idi (Sa'idi is a colloquial reference to people from Upper Egypt as opposed to Sayid, the term for which you've confused it) that prevails in Egyptian culture. They're often portrayed in Egyptian films as "simple-minded" peasants.

    Consider yourself schooled.

  • @iArsalan Visiting shrines and making offerings are practices which belong to the sphere of the "folk" Islam. Even if such traditions have some relation to the Ancient Egyptian culture, it doesn' t mean the Upper Egyptian culture is not overwhelmingly Arab. I recommend you to read the book "Upper Egypt: Identity and Change", which also deals with this issue.

  • @iArsalan A small quote from the second chapter: "Many people who worked in the Gulf countries were keen to explain how it was easy for them, as Sa' a'ida, to adapt to the Gulf countries because of the similarities between the geographical contexts, the cultures, the traditions (particularly concerning seclusion of women) and the dialects. For them, the Upper Egyptian society is considered as being more close to the "original Arab culture than the Cairo society."

  • @iArsalan The reason of this situation is the arrival of Arab bedouin tribes, particularly between the 14th and 19th century, for example of Juhaina, Ashraf, Ja' afira and others. And the jokes about the Upper Egyptians as being simple-minded have nothing to do with their origin, I don't know why are you even mentioning it here.

  • @Ayazidas Because I have consistently stayed on topic and you continually digress. My point still stands that various ethnic groups are disproportionately oppressed and ridiculed in Egypt, particularly those who reject Arab nationalism. The Copts, Nubians, Sa'idi, and Baladi are the most notable examples.

Not once have you presented evidence to counter this point and have only succeeded in proving your own ignorance and racist sentiments (read: phenotype). I'm done speaking with you.

  • @iArsalan After reading what you just wrote, I have come to the conclusion that you must be on crack or you are kidding me. You didn't quote any native any native Egyptian and until now you also haven't presented any any proof that there is an ethnic group called "Baladi" in Egypt or that Upper Egyptians consider themselves to be a separate ethnic group and don't consider themselves Arabs.

  • @iArsalan And you still haven´t explained in what way are the inhabitants of Upper Egypt oppressed. There are some complaints about a religious oppression in Egypt, but I have never heard nor read anything about oppression of Egyptians in Egypt based on their color, where have you found that thing?

  • @Ayazidas I never said they were oppressed because of skin color. I said they were oppressed because of refusal of Arab identity. As for how they are oppressed:

Egypt has the most repressive and corrupt bureaucracy in Africa and the Muslim world. "Non-Arabs" are always on the bottom of society, often living in mud shacks fully exposed to filth and disease. The police are none to beat and even kill people for made-up "offences". They suffer a host of abuses that can't be fully explained here.

  • Comment removed

  • @iArsalan

"I said they were oppressed because of refusal of Arab identity" Where did you find the information that the Upper Egyptians don´t consider themselves Arabs (in linguistic sense of the word, not genetically)?

"Egypt has the most repressive and corrupt bureaucracy in Africa and the Muslim world"

    Doubtful.

  • @iArsalan

"Non-Arabs" are always on the bottom of society, often living in mud shacks fully exposed to filth and disease"

You are mixing apples with oranges. There is a lot of poverty among Egyptians, but it has nothing to do with how they feel about their identity. You have really weird ideas about Egypt and its people.

  • @Ayazidas By your statements it is clear you know nothing of the situation on the ground in Egypt nor of it's people. So you are in no position to speak on who they do or don't look like or how they live. This is the part that's most astonishing about Egypt. People are so quick to proclaim about a place about which they know absolutely nothing. You watch a few history channel specials and suddenly you're an expert on a place to where you've never even been.

  • @ :35 Why I never saw this in history class, Hmmmm!!!

  • Egyptians black ahhahahahhahahah!!

    stop pulling legs!!!!!

  • You white people are so deluded its incredible. Egypt is wheere? surrounded by Ethipia, Sudan right? are burial rights white or black there? man.. get your history right? was Nubia black or white? did u know you can walk between these places? Herodotus called Egyptains black like people was he a liar?

  • WRONG.. the Arabic influx took place very late after the period considered antiquity. No University lecturer at a god University would be so naive as to believe the ancient Egyptians were "arabic" looking. That is foolish and not in keeping with proper knowledge on this subject. this is as ridiculous as saying ancient Asia-chinese was Caucasoid. simply laughable and in denial of the ethnic mix, ort else tell us which schoilars do you source? ? Even Heredotus called Egyptians BLACK LIKE

  • I think you just want them to be black so badly you're willing only to cherrypick and accept what evidence only supports your own claims.

Egyptians had very clear ways to physically portray black africans like how they were seen in Hapshepsut's mortuary temple. Usually more pronounced lips, different build and such. If they themselves were like that why didn't they portray themselves in the same way?

  • Utter nonsense, laughable crap. Please read more, hate less

  • and you fail to address my point.

  • @ccheng21 " Really? and where did you see or read about that my friend? Have you seen the statues, portraits, hairstyle,...etc? It's it's obviously that you are the one who's confused. Everybody can tell that Ancient Egyptians were African Blacks and some were mixed (just look at the facial features, if you know what that means). The majority of the modern Egyptians now look more like Arabs/Persian because they invades Ancient Egypt. You should do a resourch before talking out off your azz!

  • then please do provide the evidence that supports your claim.

  • @ccheng21 The evindence of what? That the Arabs and Persians invaded Ancient Egypt? Woooow...really? That's a common knowledge and a fact! Now you're going to tell me that it never happend? Seriously, go read a book!

If you can't see the African (black) features on the statues, portraits, ... then you're blind or just want to see what you believe. I'll repeat: Ancient Egyptians were black and mixed.

Now if you can't accept that, then there's no point in arguing with you.

    peace

  • ***Then please do provide the evidence that supports your claim.***

The spinx is a portrait of a black man. HA!!!

  • prove it

  • Hapshepsut's mortuary temple did indeed depict distinct features common to African south of Egypt. What you fail to realize is that the most notable depictions are of the Queen of Punt whom she refers to as your Grandmother.

The Egyptians themselves called the lands to the south "The land of the beginnings" and "The Placenta Land" and explicitly stated their origins are from inner Africa. All Pharaohs were crowned in Nubian at the temple at Dengeil.

Why are we still arguing about this?

  • Because like Dr. Clarke said, the very notion that the ancient peoples of Kemet weren't Black Africans is racist. While other people's have their claim to ancient civilizations merely by proximity, we Africans have to fight tooth and nail just to prove it was our society. Black scholars such as Dr. Clarke and Dr. Diop have provided evidence beyond an reasonable doubt; what we are now doing is arguing unreasonable doubts.

  • now answer this question would you portrait a greek with dark hair and brown skin , the same way as you would portrait a scandinavian with pale skin blue eyes and blond hair ? arent they both white , do you really think all black people have extreme dark skin and big nose and lips , have you ever been to africa have you? , ancient egyptians were considering nubians as another kind of people socially based , just as the romans used to considered the celtics or vikings but arent they all white ?

  • damn, you really are stupid. apparently you are unaware that West asians and Eastern europeans had successively invaded Egypt since ca. 670 BCE. starting with the assyrians and persian, then the greeks then the romans, then the Arabs.. However, when these barbarians overran the lands of my ancestors, they never contributed anything of significance. most monuments were constructed in early history before there were any sizable communities on the Arabian peninsula and before there were Greeks.

  • I understand the fight because I continue to fight it. But I don't waste my time arguing with people like ccheng21. Such people who cast unreasonable doubts will never be convinced because the Truth isn't their aim. They want to believe in white superiority and all other such non-sense because they've built their whole world view upon it and only they can deconstruct it.

Unlike such fools, I've been to Africa and seen it for myself. Now their comments are too absurd to dignify with a response.

  • you cant trust websites to show you what somali look like or egyptians google is pointless ive seen berber people close and personal many they are classified as mediterran but they browner than me

  • the rock black

  • they look somali to me like wwe wrestling the rock

  • the egyptians weren't like the rock.. the rock is biracial. the Nubians, Egyptians and Ethiopians are Black Africans.. indeed there was some interracial relation but the majority was African. Ignore those ridiculous and fraudulent Mummy movies.. they are lies meant to confuse you.

  • the rock like the kaaba stone of the muslims is black the universe ultimately is black space the pupil of your eyes blak my people blak true sons of god the refectore of light

  • we must realize the ancient egyptians sometimes got tired of all the asiatic invasions and simply went home (south) and took their traditions with them

  • and the white civilization that's in control of egypt now, because they took it by force, are trying to white wash egypt now and promote the lie that ancient eqypt wasn't black, a lie that started with slavery hundres of years ago, and began even earlier with the rape of africa by white europe. they tried to break off the noses and lips of the ancient monuments! and claim the color represents an "aspect" not skin color. whatever!

  • klaudios, do you know who menes is and where he came from? Egyptians were black and everyone knows it. They had some mixing later, but the founders of Egypt came from the south, Nubia. Tell me what Menes, Djoser, and all of the first six dynastic Pharoahs looked like. That's almost as bad as me going on and saying Alexander the great was black! There is really no argument he was white and the Egyptians were black.

  • Nubia/Kush ruled Egypt just during the 25th dynasty. And the pyramids of Meroe and Napata are more than 2000 years younger than the Egyptian ones...

  • this is true, but at many times they were united. many of the egyptian queens were nubians and what is today known as egypt part of it was known as nubia in the past. colonized africa didn't look like ancient africa. herodotus wrote the indiginous egyptians were black no different than ethiopians. at different times it was different rulers
