Every person who disliked SGU has said "it's a soap in space!" No. It really was not. If it was then I guess BSG was nothing more than a teen drama? Years after SGU was cancelled I still check back to see if there is any news on it's return. It was truly a great show but it was ruined by the immature vocal majority...

I thought SGU was a great step forward in the Stargate series. Atlantis, as much as I loved it, was just a flashier new version of SG-1 which really no change in style. Universe had what SG-1 and Atlantis were lacking, character development and an over-arching plot. It was a fantastic addition to the SG series but I guess the average Stargate fan is just a 13 year old kid who doesn't understand it.

lol its a good video, thanks.. although stargate universe just isnt my taste, i prefer sg1/atlantis over universe.. i just dont get anything out of it :o i might jump straight into season 2 and see if its any better.

I don't know, wether you are aware of Joeseph Malozzi's weblog. He is one of the writers and executive producers of SGU and I have been following his weblog since the cancellation of SGU. A few days ago he wrote about watching one of your videos. It was on his weblog on the 23rd of Feb this year.

The video in question was Stargate - Diamond Eyes and it was Visual Effects Producer Mark Savela who found it.

His comment was: "JaapVSWDelta, don’t know who you are, but that is one bad-ass video!"

@GunerzPGBC Technically it hasn't been cancelled, it just hasn't been renewed by Syfy. It's owned by MGM, and they're still trying to find a way to move forward with the story :)

I can't understand why people gripe so much about drama and the like in shows like SGU> after all, if we didn't even know anything about these characters, then we probably really care much when they find themselves in dire situations. You can fill your series with all the shooting and space battles you want, but if there's no character, then you may as well not bother. Long may SGU continue.
