I have lived around 4-wheelers all my life and been riding since i was 5. Been looking into buying a Raptor 250. And my friend has been around 4-wheelers also his whole life but got a Honda 250 and says he never looked back and never would change his mind on it.
Go through a set of whoops on a dirt bike then do it on a atv, it's going to take a lot more energy out of you to do it on the atv a dirt bike while glide across it and a atv will shake the shit out of you! So atvs are not always easier to ride.
Dirt bikes are alot harder to ride, and require alot more skilled rider. I own an ATV, and I've owned dirt bikes. I ride my ATV all the time, and I ride it like a maniac. I get humiliated by dirt bikes with adequate riders on the trails all the time. You can't keep up on the trails, you can't beat them on the track. Dirt bikes jump further, go faster, and are just plain better. If dirt bikes were easier to ride, I wouldn't own an ATV.
This guy really seems to not know what he is talking about, but personally I like them both. I have ridden dirt bikes and quads for a few years now. Both of them are fun, but it matters what situation your in. I rather ride a dirt bike at a track and a quad offroading.
EQUAL FUN FOR DIFFERENT REASONS honestly atvs are funner for offroading while dirtbikes are more fun at the track imo also dirt bikes are easier to jump cuz the weight dirt bikes are around 265ish pounds whil an atv is around 400.riding around a flat area a dirt bike is boring imo while a four wheeler is fun anywhere. but its personal prefference dont listen to biased pppl.atvs have "more potential" just look up R1 RAPTOR lol if you think your too good for a 160 horsepower quad then your insane
when riding dirt bikes or atv's, one is not easier or harder than the other, its the rider that makes it as harder or easier. no matter which one your riding you can allways try to push yourself to ride harder, faster, or longer. if your in a dirt bike moto or an atv moto you will not say that one is harder than the other because their all humans competing against each other so its gana take just as much talent and work to be the best at either
oh my god that guy is fucking retarded he's a horrible salesman he states the obvious. if you know that little about dirtbikes and quads gtfo of the store. if i was gonna buy a new quad or bike from that store and that guy talked to me id leave immediately
@jpowers94 I Agree 100%... this is an expert village speal... we all know they know everything... when it comes to safety videos even (ie rock climbing) they always leave out essential information as well.
it takes more skill to ride a dirt bike....balance is involuntary on a 4 wheeler, where as balance is the riders obligation on a dirt bike....that means everything takes balance jumping, wheelies, extreme speeds all rely on the rider to balance it instead of just the machine already balanced on 4 wheels
actually, there is a lot more work involved to ride a sport quad, if u actually were to ride a quad and took a turn and did not lean, or hang on the inside of the turn then u will role. On a dirtbike u lean a little an the bike leans with u, on a quad u have to do all the work, so shut ur mouth
you have obviously never road a 4 wheeler before you need to be sitting in the right place at the right time like in the turns you got lean with it or your going to have a 400 pound motorcycle on top of you
wow, a Yamaha dealer stating that ATVs are easier to ride fast and jump then Dirt Bikes. This information is flat out inaccurate.
First timers get the sensation that riding an ATV is easier because it slides easier, but most any obstacle on a motocross track is easier to negotiate on a dirt bike. Not to mention the higher risk of injury you face if you crash your ATV.
I want to buy a dirtbike I'm 13 and it would b my first 1 any help would b apreceatied cheers
