  • I recognized her the moment I saw her in the movie, however her name was not in the credits (neither openning, nor closing) and I was puzzled by it... She is amazingly beautiful! Thank you for this video! :)))

  • She also appears at the end of the movie, wrapping up the story. Great version!

  • @hoodge95 really? well thats interesting to know, fits the mood of the area and the book

  • Wuthering Heights wouldnt have looked like that i highly doubr it. Would have been more along the lines of a farm house. Thrushcross Grange is good in the film though

  • Is this version available on DVD?

    Delf

  • Bruno as in the gay Austrian guy?

  • Oh wow! I didn't know she was Emily Brontë in this movie! I always though "Wow that lady is SO beautiful!" Oh man, that made my night!

  • Wow incredible. I watched the movie 2nd time after 1993. Superb storyline and acting. How can i find the soundtrack of the 1992 version of the movie?

  • When i was watching this movie i didn't know that she played there but when i saw that scene i thought this must be Sinead O'Connor, i recognized her but i wasn't sure.... She isn't even mentioned in the credits, i just wonder why... I think it's not fair! by the way she is so lovely there:) and looks really good as Bronte.

  • When I visited this place, I was looking for that castle like house. One of the residents told me the film company had to build it because they could not find a house similar in the area that was still in tact. fter filming-they tor it down

  • She's beautiful with hair.

  • But more beautiful without ;)

  • que lindas imagenes, los castillos, y Sinead, ademas la musica preciosa!!

  • I LOVE IT

  • holy cow clicked on this b/c of Sinead which is awesome, but then I get to see that the music was done by none other then the fantastic Ryuichi Sakamoto? Sweet! I gotta watch this movie

  • I'm studying a degree in English and I had to read this novel 2 years ago and then I watched the film version.... I didn't realised that this girl is sinead o'connor..omg... I have discovered it now.. I'm shocked.. it's a very short scene.. but she is there!!!!!!!

  • I'm studying a degree in English + I didn't realised <= ^^

  • I didn't even know Sinead ever ACTED! OMG Can someone please convince Sinead to write her memoirs or her autobiography? Please?

Now that would be a fascinating read! She was born to live a dramatic and interesting life with lots of ups and downs. Has anybody heard of anything going on about this on Amazon or anything?

  • Do WHAT???

  • wuthering heights does not exist in the mind, in the experience of Poles. How can we understand each other?

  • AHA! I always thought it was Sinead O'Conner but I couldn't say for sure 'cause as far as I could tell, shew wasn't in the credits.

Youtube has confirmed it for me.

  • i love the music in this version of wuthering heights!! beautiful. xxx

  • my names Bronte, awesome

  • I bought "Weathering Heights" in April of 2007 and I watched it and didn't notice, until today that (when I watched it again) that the girl in the end of the movie looked like Sinead O'Connor, so i looked it up on google and here it is...Thank u for posting this, I would have gone crazy, because her name, (for some odd reason) wasn't mentioned in the credits...Believe me, I looked...What a beautiful movie and how well narrated by Sinead O'Connor....Great job!!!

  • Beautiful - thanks for posting. A great 2008!

  • i cant believe that is sinead oconnor i've seen the movie a dozen times and never put that together althought i don't really know but wow i never would have known it

  • great chance for you

  • if you are talking about the house that is seen in this video, I can tell you the studio built this house for the filming. I was in this area 5 years ago and that is what the Museum representative told me when I asked the same question.

  • Wow! Well they didn't have to spend much on the inside of it,did they??

  • Would love to know where the "Wuthering Heights" house really is.

  • Their father was Irish ,mother was English.

Actually all of the Bronte sisters were born in Bradford (Yorkshire) ,before moving to Haworth .

  • yes wonder me to

  • Would anyone happen to know where exactly this was filmed?

    Thank you for sharing !

  • I looked up the s.track on Amazon and it was outrageously expensive.I still love it!

  • Is Wuthering Heights a suburb of Pittsburgh?

  • Actually sinead who be a good choice to play her, the Bronte were Irish, who moved to England.

  • The Bronte sisters were partly (on the father's side) but not fully Irish.

  • Oops I meant THIS adaption. Anyways to state again damn what a great soundtrack by Sakamoto!

  • The music in thie adaption is great! Too bad the soundtrack is so damn rare!

  • By FAR the best adaptation of the book!!! By Far I tells ya!!!!

  • Imagine going in there??!!!Alone??!!!

  • I wonder why she does not get credit for this, she has a tiny little part but still...

  • It starts with Lockwood crashing at Heathcliff's place and then after a bit of action Nelly tells the whjole... thing.

  • Are you all retarded, this is not Sinead O'Connor, it's Juliette Binoche and she not playing Emily Bronte, that would be stupid, she's playing Cathy Linton/Catherine Earnshaw in a movie called "Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights" from 1992.

  • Its Sinead Oconnor you thick twat' she IS playing Emily' the Idea is she is telling the story she Wrote.........

Get your facts Right' thick Twat!! Juliette Binoche played Cathy and Cathy's Daughter...............Dick Head

  • You must live a very sad life.

  • I think we all know what Sinead O'Connor looks like, why dont u google "Wuthering heights sinead o'connor" and see for urself.

  • headly66, are you brain dead? That's Sinead.

  • No this is actually Sinead O'connor I m Bruno and I made this video few years ago from the DVD. She appeard just as the beginning and sinead is not credited at the end :-( She 's the narrator.

  • Thanks, that was really cool to have seen.

  • I've always loved the music to this movie. Thank you for sharing :)

  • I like the movie though I think it's a bit to tame...

  • I read the book and I thought both the Lawrence Olivier and the Ralph Fiennes versions were both excellent. Thanks for the clip. Did realize that was Sinead actually.

  • dang....i posted before watching the video....so sorry

  • emily bronte was the author of wuthering heights...

  • yes but she was also included in the movie

  • actually.....how was that movie...i absolutely adore the book...but one of my english teachers told me a while back...than the movies were horrible....

  • My english teacher last year told me that all the movie adaptations werent close to the book, but they still are enjoyable to see, my personal favorite is the 1992 version shown here. But that's just my opinion
