I still think it would be worth the money to have a working camera with a live feed system and microwave it while sending out a live feed. Though I'm guessing the micro-waves would kill it instantly, as well as all electronic gear that isn't triple coated in copper.

you should customize the newer microwaves with cameras in them with wireless transmitters and hook up the receiver to a laptop and have the laptop behind the tin foil shield, to see what goes on in the microwaves that you can't see...or a better look at what goes on

Poll: My camera is an HP Photosmart M525, and my family seems to prefer it above all the rest of our cameras for still pics. Never tried its video function, though.

On a side note, it's good to see that Jackie survived this camera experiment, after Tracy died from microwaving a digital camera in the last season. And then in later seasons we had Cinnamon, who died from microwaving a Polaroid camera - and Esmeralda, who committed suicide to avoid Judge Claude Frollo, aka the Flip camera.
