  • Men is born free, yet everywhere he is in chains.

  • New Band Inspired by V watch?v=t4rnH0Q18Cs

  • A simply amazing movie. Its sad to live through these times of chaos and mass madness. Real music can help cope with the psychological distress. Check out this band themed around V.

  • Thumbs up if the Capital Building in Washington DC should be blown to hell! :D

  • And a movement began.

  • I'm a libertarian socialist. All I want is for the government to give me my personal rights but manage this country well. I reject all liberalism and their Utopian ideals.

  • @Trashcansam123

The state is a tool of enslavement and the enforcement of conformity. With the State, there can be no freedom. The State is the life-support of capitalism and capitalism enables the State. 2 leeches on your back, working in synergy.

"Freedom without Socialism is privilege and injustice, Socialism without Freedom is slavery and brutality." Michael Bakunin

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Theres a fine line between anarchist and libertarian. And besides, being a socialist/anarchist is an oxymoron. How would that even work? Libertarians believe in the government protecting the natural rights of it's citizens nothing more. But I believe they should intervene as little as possible andt still help the citizens.

  • @Trashcansam123

"Libertarians believe in the government protecting the natural rights of it's citizens nothing more."

Natural rights? What natural rights do you think you have? Rights are only needed in a society that has a government that could feasibly take them from you. Governments are a lot better at taking rights than giving them.

  • @Trashcansam123

"But I believe they should intervene as little as possible andt still help the citizens."

Again, you are probably a social democrat with some civil libertarian views. The government does not help people, it enslaves them. It's a disgrace to human dignity that governments think they have the right to coerce people into cooperation. It makes people apathetic and dull. I don't need a government swinging around a gun to help my fellow human beings.

  • @Trashcansam123

    From Wikipedia:

"Libertarian socialism (sometimes called social anarchism, and sometimes left libertarianism) is a group of political philosophies that promote a non-hierarchical, non-bureaucratic, stateless society without private property in the means of production. "

Right libertarianism is minarchistic, left libertarianism is inherently stateless.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH

Libertarian socialism? what the fuck?! socialist steal the concept of "liberalism" now they want to steal the concept of Libertarian?

  • @Ranispl

What are you talking about? Libertarianism always meant opposition to wage labor, etc. until modern free marketeers hijacked it.

  • @Ranispl Educate yourself. Libertarianism originally was a term associated with anarch-communists.

  • @Ranispl And the same with "liberalism". It started to be associated with right wing only because of so called "conservative liberalism", which is hybrid ideology. And conservatism as political doctrine was invented by Burke as an reaction to liberalism and basically was antithesis of it.

  • remember remember the 25th of September..... Monty orders a retreat from the 1st airborne fighting in Arnhem Holland

  • The 5th of November.. Isn't that when Marty traveled 20 years in the past with Doc Brown's Delorian?

  • I bet those dislikes are by parliament members....

  • Nothing like a hurdling tidal wave of acid traveling toward London like this.

  • I just remembered an allusion to this in the Hunger Games! Remember when District seven revolted against the capital? They say that they all got into position, then put on their masks, and all hell broke lose! It would be sooooo awesome to see them do that in the movie! Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @MasterMorty but the revolts aren't till the next 2 books, so it will be in the second or third movie of that series.

  • Stephen Fry was in this movie. It is automatically awsome.

  • Bye Bye Big Ben!

  • @ 2:11 V for Vendetta.

  • Remember, remember the 5 November

    The gunpowder, treason, trickery

So I do not see how can we forget

    A gunpowder treason so vile.

  • The only winner in the war of 1812 was Tchaikovsky.

  • @UndisputedDelta267 ..and those who have been interessted in that conflict behind the curtains ..

  • I don't forgot the 5th of November.

  • 40 people forgot the 5th of November

  • I don't know why I want to destroy something xD

  • If your gonna go out, go out with a bang

  • God I can imagine this happening to the Untied States when it goes under and we all fall into a fascist dictatorship. Which not to say I am an anarchist but it might and probably will happen!!! Eventually.........

  • My favorite movie with my favorite romantic era composer. Awesome!!!

  • Got this music on my radio usb pen , its wonderful and powerful at the same time

  • I love this song but I love this movie most of all! Beautiful! My favorite film of all time!

  • Who were they trolling? (yall mad, broz?)

  • Although I don't condone the destruction of parliament, regardless of how piss-poor a job they are doing, this was pretty cool!

  • this makes me want to overthrow a government

  • @badt4life It may be awesome to go out like that, but V "went out" by getting shot up in the subway. That doesn't sound like fun at all :)

  • Remember, remember, the fifth of November...

  • @princepstenebris ...the gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

  • If you're here, you remembered the 5th of November!

  • happy 5th of november

  • 1:53 is Steven Fry. I thought his character had already been killed?

  • @Bigthingreg there are other dead in the scene too ... it goes with the whole "he is you. he is me" thing.

  • @Bigthingreg the young girl was killed as well. perhaps they are there in spirit?

  • @Bigthingreg Well notice you also see the woman who was in prison and died with all the people that were experimented on (I forgot her name, Valarie or something?) at 1:59. I think it's just supposed to be symbolic showing how they were there, or a part of it seeing their government finally being changed.

  • @henhouse Seems legit =)

  • On a side night, considering what Evey says about V, her family seems to be involved with a shitload of incest.

  • @Bigthingreg Not only him also the lesbian couple at 1:58, just like they stood up from the dead for the revolution.

  • @deadly840 wait does that mean the little girl with the glasses really did die?

  • @whatthefuck386 Maybe but it's just to make the feeling of the revolution stronger it doesn't have to make sense.

  • I see no reason why gunpowder treason

    should ever be forgot

    Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes,

    ’twas his intent

to blow up the King and the Parliament.

Three score barrels of powder below,

    Poor old England to overthrow:

  • @Firesoar13 By God’s providence he was catch’d With a dark lantern and burning match. Holloa boys, holloa boys, make the bells ring. Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King! Hip hip hoorah! A penny loaf to feed the Pope. A farthing o’ cheese to choke him. A pint of beer to rinse it down. A faggot of sticks to burn him. Burn him in a tub of tar. Burn him like a blazing star. Burn his body from his head. Then we’ll say ol’ Pope is dead. Hip hip hoorah! Hip hip hoorah!
  • Remember remember the fifth of November

    Gunpowder, treason and plot.

I see no reason why gunpowder, treason

    Should ever be forgot...

  • For those who only saw the movie I strongly advice to READ THE NOVEL!!

The movie Rocks, the Graphic Novel RULES!!!!

  • Thumbsup if you can see the people carrying Gadsden flags and watching the White House blow up instead.

  • VERDADERAMENTE LA MEJOR PELICULA QUE HE VISTO EN MI VIDA

  • Bye Bye Epic Fail Guy

  • @ 1:48 - 1:59 the people who died are shown taking off their masks.

Thumps up if you noticed it too

  • The people wearing these mask today put V to shame. V wanted to remove government power and restore freedom

Explain to me how wanting socialism will gain freedom? More government control is what caused the scenario in this movie anyway.

  • @Fredfredbug4 Wrong SIR. Fascism is WAY different than socialism.

  • @ItsJackDolan Fascism IS different than Socialism. However they aren't far apart. Both systems want heavy government regulation on business and industry.

Socialism can lead to Fascism as well. The Nazi's didn't call themselves National SOCIALIST for nothing.

  • @Fredfredbug4 I would say they are far apart, considering socialism is an economic system and fascism is a political system. Just look at canada eh?

  • @ItsJackDolan Sorry man, Facism has economic aspects as well. Look it up if you don't believe me. And these economic aspects are mostly socialist beliefs.

Basically, Facism is just Socialism with a shit load of nationalism tossed in there. The only thing stopping a socialist country from becoming facist is some resemblance of a democracy/ republic. However as seen with Nazi Germany, socialism allows democracy to be easily toppled or manipulated.

  • @Fredfredbug4 Although Ernst Roehm's, one of the early leaders of Nazis, economic beliefs could be considered as socialist indeed and if he had took the rule it would be different. Nevertheless, as the upper class started to press on Hitler as they felt threatened by Roehm's "socialist" pose, and Hitler himself couldn't risk as Roehm was popular, he ordered to execute him.

  • @Fredfredbug4 It was a bait-and-switch for the non-Marxist socialists in Germany during the Weimar Republic. Even before he went after the Jews, he went after - *gasp* - UNIONS!

  • @Fredfredbug4 Socialism means also anarchism, and communism means lack of any government (countries classified as communist were actually in state socialism phase, which was only intended to dismantle government). Sec., Nazi Germany economy lied on big PRIVATE corporations like IG Farben or Krupp AG. It had socialism in name because it was popular at the time, and people had negative attitudes toward capitalism. The rich supported Hitler as he was the guarantee of their prosperity.

  • @Fredfredbug4 It looks like you have this popular misconception that socialism means big government, which from political science standpoint is inaccurate (although many regimes which intended to be socialist turned to that, but so do "neoliberal" ones, but they tended to regulate people's morality). And actually big government, statism historically is associated with the right.

  • Let see, am I imagining Federal Reserves and Pentagon got blow up big time?

  • Great, now imagine that as the European Union parliament.

  • ONE MAGICAL DAY...SOON IN GREECE AND THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!!!Hopefully... ;-)

  • V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anarqui!!!!!!!!!!! xD

  • perfect

  • @anch0rzdgaf yes

  • ο καιρος γαρ εγγυς

  • Alan More is a genius!

  • Down with Wall Street.

  • I think he plant bombs in the building on every floor and the train activate them with other bombs xD

  • Why was the Parliament building built out of bombs? I know the train was packed, but that should only destroy the bottom floors, then the building collapses. *sigh* Hollywood.

  • @YetAnotherUrMomJoke Telling me to shut up over something called logic? Something you don't have, it seems.

  • @PizzaPirateNinja8128 I'm sorry, let me elaborate. Please do not question this movie with miniscule, unimportant details, as a movie is meant to entertain and to arouse intrigument, not to cause minor debates on the actuality of some occurences, within the said movie, occurring in reality. Logical enough, monsieur?

  • @YetAnotherUrMomJoke I just like to nitpick obvious details, okay? Jeez.

  • @PizzaPirateNinja8128 That is quite allowed. Therefore I aoplogize and wish to redact my first statement. Have a good day sir.

  • @YetAnotherUrMomJoke actually blowing up the bottom floors would indeed cause the building to collapes due to the under structure being weakened and also with that many explosives it would cause the whole building to go KA-BOOM!!!

  • @PizzaPirateNinja8128 The movie would indeed have been awesome without going Michael Bay at the end. But what really surprises me is that the movie is awesome even *with* going Michael Bay at the end!

  • @PizzaPirateNinja8128

Artistic license, man. Ain't that awesome for Parliament to go down in unison with the music?

  • I love this movie

    And of course this:

Remember, remember the fifth of november the gunpowder treason and plot,

I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

  • I always cry at the end of this movie. Everyone should this masterpiece. Remember, remember...

  • 0:47 to hear the one guy that didn't make it out.

  • so in the end, Guy Fawkes did blow up the parliamet...only some centuries late.

  • He was all of ass

  • The biggest, most iconic movie moment so far in the 21st century.

    Go /b/ros.

  • Best part 0:01 - 2:17

  • Gives me chills every single time.

  • Good, now imagine that as the white house....

  • @bamazudi then america would be perfect

  • @bamazudi we should also include congress

  • @bamazudi lol the Capitol Hill Building would make a better example

  • @bamazudi No fat cats, thieves, and lawyers This revolution is for us, the people

  • @bamazudi imagine that this is Mecca.

  • @bamazudi Or better yet, the Capitol...

  • @bamazudi What like in the Independence Day film? *cough*

  • That`s how I`d like to go out, with a big bang with 1812 Overture blaring over speakers. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • this song shall be playing at the end of the world

  • Fact: The movie makers of this film bought Parliament just to make this scene.

  • ZOMG Stephen Fry

  • todays standards are soooooooo fuckin LOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! i talking about movies here, not music

  • todays standards are soooooooo fuckin LOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!

  • after watching this movie, if l hear 1812 overture, RUN AWAY

  • Remember, remember the fifth of november

    The gunpowder treason and plot

I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason

    Should ever be forgot

  • How did they get the bombs in sync with the tune like that?

  • @Zoras88 Aliens...

  • @Zoras88 many years of careful planning.

    and timers.

  • I love how the explosions work with the percussions.

  • I agree with his motives and I support his ideas, however I don't support blowing up the parliament buildings cause they represent the first real democracy UK has, and is a symbol of the democratic struggle of the good British People. Blow something else up to prove a point, not Parliament

  • All those explosion of this Viking funeral should reserve for Federal Reserves, NATO headquarter, Bank of England, Wall Street stock exchange building, World Bank main office or maybe some Big Four banks in U.S.

Don't forget those artillery to blast those institutes to dust.

  • That is the greatest movie I ever did see.

  • I watched this movie two days before the London Riots started... I could have just imgained waking up one morning and seeing in the news that our Parliment was blown up by a masked man!

  • I like how the explosions are synced with the drum ^_^

  • Did anybody else notice that the last 4 letters of the url are "lolz"?

  • i want my funeral to be like this. either that or shot into the sun...

  • @pravkdey Or both?

  • Ha, :48 to hear V blow up. (listen carefully for it)

  • 50 years from now....

God, "Tell me, do you enjoy music, Lucifer?"

  • Seeing all these men in masks reminds me of my trip to the gay bar.

  • 0:37-0:45 is my favorite part

  • i will use this song the day i blow up the government builiding in my country

  • I bet bunch of people are calling emergency services but no one picks up.

  • Evey: "He was Edmond Dantès"

    Finch: Huh?

  • @spearworld6 the main character in the count of monte christo, which is V's favourite film in the movie.

  • @mojonotsag Yes I know I'm saying how weird Finch looked when she said that.

  • @spearworld6 OH lol, yep, get it now!

  • Explosions + classical music + for great justice= overly-epic explosions?

Sounds about right.... I wonder what this explosion would be like with Flight of the Valkyries as the bgm?

  • Now would this movie have gotten made if instead of the British Parliament Building this was the United States Capitol or the White House was getting blown up? ...Nope.

  • @fvgdfbdokd Actually.... It might have. I mean, look CoD: MW2. I've only seen a few scenes of MW2, but I think most of it was focused in one specific place: Wachington, DC

  • @fvgdfbdokd I agree with you but just saying that in Fallout: 3, there's a big hole instead of the White House.

But this is a movie and everybody knows that it's the videogames you blame if something terrible happens. ^^

  • @fvgdfbdokd I have to agree with you here. Sure, those places have been blown up in videogames and other media, but that's usually because of some other country, international terrorists or aliens blowing the building up.

In this context, where the US government would be evil and people are destroying the building as a symbol of tearing down the oppressive regime... I doubt it would get much funding.

  • they should get david fincher to do a remake or even martin scorsesse

with alan moores stories you could easilly get some oscar gold out of them

  • @ 0:22 i love how everyone has like cream colored masks and one guys mask is dead white

  • Damn it, you fucking teenagers! This music is the anthem of blowing shit up, not a retarded little movement song for your stupid anarchist bullshit. Even the movie intends to use it that way.

  • @TheBigCynicalAsshole So if I'm trying to purvey a message in something, I have to use specific music?

  • @551Music

I wasn't talking about that. I was just butthurting over the fact that this specific group of people use this piece of music, in a misunderstood fashion.

But to answear your question: sure you have to. Look at all the examples this method is used. They always use the same generic, important sounding music before news casts. They use choirs in a dramatic fashion in action movies to sound suspenseful. It's all about carrying a message in a not always noticable level.

  • @TheBigCynicalAsshole There is no specific music for anything. There is only preference. What you deem appropriate is not what everyone else will. Just like how I find the 1812 Overture appropriate for this movie as you do not.

  • @TheBigCynicalAsshole In fact this music is about how the Russian Army defeated Napoleon's Army the year 1812. Tchaikovsky composed it to commemorate that historical fact. But of course it matches perfectly with blowing shit up for any other reason.

  • all the anonymous hackers do is fuck with the internet why dont they ever blow shit up!

  • an accurate portrayal of the current situation in the UK right about now

  • @Ishtah333 lololololol that's true

  • Anonymous can suck my dick, V for Vendetta wannabes
