Nergal was (and still is?) directly influenced by a North American band called Blasphemy....as he stated in a Behemoth documentary. I really feel that he and most all other musicians don't care where a band is from.....there are good bands from all over the world.....and if you don't agree (or, for example, you think that all American bands suck)....then all of your favorite musicians and bands truly look down on you. And yeah, Behemoth kicks ass too.....

First, this is Summoning of the Ancient Ones. Summoning of the Ancient Gods is short track from Demo: Return to Northern Moon, and its without any guitarrs, vocals and drums, only keybord and some wolf screaming :P

Second. Behemoth play pure black metal to 1998. Since Pandemonic Incantations they start to create they own style. Today, You all can hear something from black metal in Their songs, and its beacause They've got roots in black metal.

Ive seen them live with jobforacowboy, Gojira and Beneath the Massacre and i'm going to see them again with Dimmu august 3 they just fuckin rule of course theyre not TRVE BLACKMETAL... -_- theyre not from Norway thats why Nergal found his own vocal style and guitar technic in the beginning then adapted it to his early style. It's true blackmetal in some way listen to Sventevith (Storming Near The Baltic) and Wolves Guard My Coffin this is basic and at the same time really obscure.

If you listen to them, you'll see that Summoning (Of the Ancient Ones) starts off with vocals immediately, like this song does, whereas Summoning Of the Ancient Gods doesn't start with vocals immediately. Nergal even says Summoning Of The Ancient Ones.
