in my opinion Jann Lee is my favorite character that relates to bruce lee out of all fighting characters including fei long. Jann lee does not look like bruce or even sometimes does not act like him. He has his own character and personality. He had a rough childhood, and by watching bruce lee action movies, it gave him courage and inspiration. He took on martial arts to hide the pain he suffered from. The closest character that resemembles a lot like bruce is Fei long.

Jann Lee had the Bruce Lee moves way back in DoA1, including the Dragon flying kick, double-foot stomp, headlock back-kick, backfist, massive side kick, one-inch punch etc.
Law has slowly been copying his moves and catching up but Jann Lee did it all first.

Law is forced to be similar to Bruce Lee but only in his looks, so people's expectations are to see Bruce fighting. but it isn't that all...then, he is american not chinese.
Jann Lee looks very different from Bruce, but his moves are the same, especially in DOA4, so people's so people's expectations are not supposed to see Bruce, but a fighter that uses Bruce Lee's style.

I know Jeet Kune Do (JKD), I "practice" JKD, and i don't care whatever is wrote in the instruction booklet (even in that of Tekken5 Law style INS'T JKD...) but Law doesn't play JKD at all...only some but very few kiks. the rest is other.

in my opinion Jann Lee is my favorite character that relates to bruce lee out of all fighting characters including fei long. Jann lee does not look like bruce or even sometimes does not act like him. He has his own character and personality. He had a rough childhood, and by watching bruce lee action movies, it gave him courage and inspiration. He took on martial arts to hide the pain he suffered from. The closest character that resemembles a lot like bruce is Fei long.

Jann Lee had the Bruce Lee moves way back in DoA1, including the Dragon flying kick, double-foot stomp, headlock back-kick, backfist, massive side kick, one-inch punch etc.
Law has slowly been copying his moves and catching up but Jann Lee did it all first.

Law is forced to be similar to Bruce Lee but only in his looks, so people's expectations are to see Bruce fighting. but it isn't that all...then, he is american not chinese.
Jann Lee looks very different from Bruce, but his moves are the same, especially in DOA4, so people's so people's expectations are not supposed to see Bruce, but a fighter that uses Bruce Lee's style.
Final judgment: Jann Lee is a better character. Original look and real fighting style

I know Jeet Kune Do (JKD), I "practice" JKD, and i don't care whatever is wrote in the instruction booklet (even in that of Tekken5 Law style INS'T JKD...) but Law doesn't play JKD at all...only some but very few kiks. the rest is other.
then,Jann Lee is pure chinese as Bruce Lee was. He wasn't american at all...but Brandon Lee.
