he's not saying god doesn't exist, he's just saying we don't know what it is. in other words, because he doesn't know what god is he cannot say that a clear cut defined god exists. merely that what hes experienced applies to it.

I don't think god is knowable. Yet. Or maybe ever. I find it funny that people, usually proponents of science and evolution, can make claims that god definitely doesn't exist but we still have tailbones, if you catch what I'm saying. They forget we humans aren't the apex of creation, questions we can't answer now can maybe be answered if we let ourselves evolve a couple hundred centuries or so...

As far as QM, I think it has no business being in a philosophical/theological context. I mean there's a lot of hand-waving going on once it leaves the science realm. Science can't say positively 100%, but it can say no 100%. Ya observing an event having an effect on said event is a trip.

I've got no problem with the majority of what you've said. You'll find that an atheist's initial problem is not with god "itself". We're are merely the jury that comes back with a verdict of not enough evidence for the prosecution (theist) to proof its case. Also, i'd say the majority of atheists that I know and also on youtube are weak atheists, that is we don't go around making the positive claim of knowledge of no god.

i could rant for a long time about dawkins. i think he is extremely disrespectful. he, and those like him, are obviously insecure, which leads to their inappropriate distortion of reality. he is a PR guy, not a philosopher.
