  • I dont think ive ever really appreciated the concept of shooting spikes off your back as a self defense

  • @AbduCola They can not "shoot" them but they come off really really easily and the barbs make them work in farther every time you flex or move.

  • He's so animated, so much personality.

  • So cute!! I've lived in Alaska all my life and I've never seen on first hand! Adorable!

  • This porcupine is so adorable! He reminds me of Little Critter, the main character in a series about a family of porcupines by Mercer Mayer. Those were my favorites X)

  • donate your money or time to your local animal shelter... even a little bit!

  • @Jambo888: Even better: Buy a square mile of jungle land for cheap, and just let it be nature. You’ll do more than with an animal shelter, because those animals won’t get as bad that they’ll even need a shelter. :)

  • I love him!

  • adorable

  • So cute!

  • It's so fluffy I'm gonna die.

    Kind of want.

  • Yay for Wildlife Conservation Centers! :)

  • what's porcupine years in comparison to human years? :)

  • Another proof that just about any animal can learn to live with any other animal (including us)

  • @herusardo Don't be naive, you can't just domesticate any wile albeit animal you see.

  • @OpCzar Not being naive, nor, by all means, saying that it should be done. I literally grew up in a biology lab on a university, so I have seen all kinds of effects on animals. Biggest problem with "domesticating" wild animals usually comes from two instances: 1. not knwoing that animals natural behaviour (there are 1000s of books on the behaviour of cats and dogs, some quite wrong, but most usefull) and 2. that while every pup is cute, they will grow up and may try and challenge your authority.

  • What I meant is that most animals will learn to live well with one another once you remove the really serious motives of conflict, ie. food, and do start to become a sort of collective, a pack. If all of them are mammal, this is way quicker, but you can add a couple of birds to the mix. Again, not saying you should, especially if, like the family that originally adopted Stinkers, you are not prepared for a fully grown animal and see yourself wanting to get rid of it.

  • @OpCzar my elephant and camel get along fine

  • how long do they live

  • do you need a liceanse
