  • Hey man, I'm sorry to hear this. 100% honestly, thank you. I needed this wakeup call. Ive been abusing my binder, i have a pretty big chest and I hate it. as much as I hate it.... Thank you for this.

  • why don't u just have a post op? it's easier and safer tho.

  • Thanks for the advice.. i've been wearing 2 at the same time. im going to stop now.

  • I'm taking my first steps toward transgender, I'm looking around for binders because after YEARS of self loath I've finally decided and told my parents and sister that I will start to dress as a man, I'm glad i found your video. I will keep it in mind when I start wearing my first binder. I can't wait because only me and God know how much I hate my breasts.

  • @Walnut500 God isn't real, silly.

  • hey guys i found a pill on line called ALEXIA. it is not for FTM, but it is for women who have such big ones that it is acceptible to get a breast reduction surgury. i thought it wouldnt work on me because i am way small anyways, but tryed it because i wont be happy till its all gone. it did work for me, but like all pills it varys from person to person, so it might not work for some.

  • dude i feel your pain >.< i totally went threw that bro but i couldnt show it cuz i hadnt come out to my mom. warm compresses. i recomend iccy hot and a heating pad

  • what a great video- thank you for the information- hope ya healed up

  • wow thanks man for the tip i was planing on doing that when i got one and didn't know if it would be good or not to do. Also could anyone maybe give me a link or the web page where i could get my hands one ?

  • ive been wearing mine for about 15 hours a day and i found bruises by my armpit, but i havent been in any pain... its not too small or anything.. should i be wearing it less than that? (ive had it for about six months and it might've stretched out a little too)

  • Oh how I am there right now, I was binding with a tensor band because they don't have binders where I live, I ended up squishing my ribs, impacting them into the joints that connect each to the sternum. It takes time, and we all learn from mistakes, don't be too hard on yourself bud, you'll get top surgery soon enough and feel better from this.

    - Andrew

  • the only thing i can say is what i have been doing for the past couple of months is wearing a sports bra and wrapping my breats and even the sports bra with ace bandage almost as tall as me. just be careful not to wrap it so tightly

  • I had that happen before and I was just using an Ace. It was horrible!

  • Thank you for this video. I'm just beginning to start binding and had no idea there were restrictions on how long to where them or what would happen. It's definitely a wake up call for me.

  • omg i wear my binder even when i sleep... good thing im pre-t

  • I live in England. Could you possibly recommend a good binder that they would sell/ship to here?

  • Thanks for this warning.

  • breast * i mean

  • maybe it is really better to save money and do a breat operation...

  • aww im so sorry :(

  • Hide it for work?! call in sick, not being able to breath is a pretty valid excuse

  • i am using 3 sports bras becase i cant get a binder becase i still live at home at 20 but i can barly breath with it and i hop that your ribs fill better

  • Hi bro, I'm habing that pain too, almost every day and it's becoming awful so I'm trying not to wear the binding, it really sucks, the pain...I don't know, I hope it doesn't get any worst because I'm a singer.

    Take care

  • I use an Ace Bandage because I prefer them.

  • I just got my binder but every time I wear it i get a headache somehow so...

  • i just did this same thing. sucks bad

  • I know you posted this quite awhile ago but thank you for doing so. I have always been wearing sports bras that are two sizes too small and was just going ot do that with binders.

I read the warnings against it, but I am around a 42 dd and it's just devastating every time I go out no matter how I dress or what I do to my hair, the pain I go though to bind myself as flat as possible just never seems to work in the damn town I live in.

  • Thanks for the warning

  • oh shit lol I just seen this video is hella old... well maybe this will help someone else. =0)

  • um if you haven't found out by now... you have either a fractured or broken rib. All you really can do is give it time to heal and use an inflammatory for the pain. I wouldn't suggest trying to wear your binder until you are fully healed as you can run the risk of catching pneumonia. Hope this helps... good luck.

  • it hurts to when i'm just looking this video

  • I personally never used a binder. I used to play soccer in high school but I hated my boobs moving when I would run so I bought some really good bra's. I used to be a size 36 C but then I lost alot of weight and went down to 34 A-B. That helped alot... WHen I wore my tight medium bra i looked like if I had no boobs. Doing alot of pushups helps reduce your boob size.

  • The vid is malfunctioning, I can't see it :(

I want to find out what's the deal with too-tight binding cos I bind my 36D's often with clear packing tape and I want to know if I'm setting myself up for some serious hurt...

  • I wish i found this video like 3 weeks ago!! I've learned my lesson though myself

  • hey, my heart really goes out to you, that mst have been awful. i didn't even realise that could happen

  • I'm so sorry, that really sucks. That is just horrible. I hope its a lot better now <3

  • I Wuv ur arms

  • Very informative video. Glad ur ok now.

  • Damn dude i just sent 5 bucks to that binder program. Ill proubly only use mine during school 8 hours. That aint bad for a begginer is it?

  • Yeah, you'll be good to go

  • Oh man this must have sucked, what exactly happened? Where is the pain? Thanks for posting his video; I won't bind too tight and for too long (which I should really stop doing).

  • It tore my intercostals. The tiny muscles between your ribs. The pain was between the ribs right underneath my pectoral muscle. It felt like a broken rib that continued to get kicked every time I took a breath.

  • @DominoAyeJae i know how that feels...i have that problem even without binding because of how...*ahem* large they are...which is why even though i want to i probably wont ever bind...

  • omfg! :(

    im sorry ;//

  • Oh fuck fuck fuck fuck

Ughhhh I hate binding, and this video really scares me. I'm doing everything you did wrong but I can't imagine doing it any other way... What a mess!

  • i know you mention not to wear a binder for more than 12 hours but how tight is too tight?

  • I'm so sorry to hear that Tyler. I hope you feel better soon. In the mean time, lots of layering...and ice?

  • Why don't you just up your Test to 400mg or more a week and throw in a cutting steroid like Winstrol, Anavar, or Primobolan to get rid of the chest fat (tits) like the female pro's do it. instead of torturing yourself. Join up here if you want some detailed advice on how to get looking like wanna the big boys. There's lots of very knowledgeable and elite level bopdybuilders that can help you achieve the body your looking for without this binding and cutting off your breasts shit.

  • While I have entertained the idea for a breif moment, its not worth it. If my doctors find out Im abusing the script they gave me and adding potentially harmfull and illegal substances they have the right to (and WILL) pull my T script all together. Then I would be screwed forever.

  • @BodeeZafta taking testosterone doesn't completely get rid of breasts, no matter how much you take. When going through female puberty, the glands in the breasts grow larger, and they don't shrink back. Taking tons of T and additional steroids will only give you a heart attack or liver failure- NOT worth it.

  • Poor guy. ; ; I was binding pretty tight for a week, and then couldn't breathe for three after that. I didn't bind for more than 5 hours at a time, but I think it was way too tight. In the end it wasn't worth it because I couldn't breathe for three weeks, and I didn't look flat anyway. I hope you get well soon. :(

  • hope u feel better soon dude!

  • are you ever planning on having ,or getting you re chest surgically removed?

  • hey dude did u c a doctor yet if not u really need2get that chec'd out..i just watchd ur video 2weekz ago bout bindin that shit was so crazy n now im watchin this is like wow..i hope u feel better man i truly do

  • You hope you feel better soon :-)

  • omg! i hope u feel better soon

  • oh noo tyler!! i hope you get your top surgery soon. This type of thing pisses me off, in such a sad way. its so sad to see people having to go through this :( I hope you went to the dr!!

  • hope u feel better.

  • go to er now...!

  • Dude...go to the ER - sounds like a tension pneumothorax...really! I hope you are seeing a doc! As for your chest and hiding the stuff...I know bio guys with more junk on top than you or I have/had. Underarmor and a baggy shirt works great. Your masculinity comes through in more ways than just a flat chest...get well brother.

  • I hope u get to feeling better, only thing I can say about the binding thing is layer ur shirts. Or get a shirt thats bigger, I really dont know. I hope you find something that works and like everyone else said GO TO THE DOCTOR

    ~Cody

  • Dude get to the doctor. Your symptoms sound the same as mine when i had a pneumothorax last year. Please get it checked out...

  • Get to the doc first of course. Layer two tee shirts, tighter, looser, then wear the good ol' flannel shirt. Maybe a thermal shirt under the flannel for effect to explain the bulkiness.

  • i hope you have seen a doctor by now and i hope everything is ok.

  • shiiiit!

    hope you're doing ok now.

  • Dude as the rest of your fans have spoken hopefully you have seen a doctor by now... and let your girlies fly free once in a while especially when sick binding for too long can cause pneumonia from a basic chest cold. So if you want a method to hide the "girls" wear baggy clothes to work cause if you can't even wear a sports bra then you probably couldn't do the waist trimmer belt method for binding either. Get better soon dude and take it easy until things heal up.

  • Get to a doctor ASAP! It sounds like a muscle issue and muscles fill with fluid when there's a stretch.

  • this is pissing me off, i keep posting a comment and it wont show, so if it does, it would be a multiple post thats pretty much saying the same thing, so im gonna have to message you it if i dont see it get posted.....

  • Hey man. I've been watching your videos for a while. I just wanted to say thanks for putting your story out there and letting other people learn from you. I really appreciate it. Feel better soon.

  • I 20th what everyone else has said, get a doctor. I have a friend who is a MTF with a lot of facial hair. They are so confident that they get taken for a female even when they have no makeup on. be confident in your male self and large shirts. Get well soon Tyler

  • holy shit dude....go to the ER

  • omg.. if u dont feel any better please go to the doctor :( ive come across threads about binding and what most people forget to remind people why you need to rest from it is because u can actually push fluids into your lungs from being constricted for long periods of time. not to mention cutting off blood circulation. so please see a doctor to make sure you havent done that. wost case scenario, you could get pneumonia. take off from work if you have to, but please go to the doctor.

  • ugh, this really sucks. hope you feel better soon, buddy. keep us updated, please.

  • I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this pain and situation now. Please get the medical attention you need and restore your health. Wishing you all the best.

  • I agree with all the comments, go to the dr. I don't think you should worry about hiding "that mess" for work cause I don't think you should be working at all for a couple of days, seeing as how you look in the vid, it seems like you are in too much pain. Hope you get better soon, take care!

  • You've been to the doctor by this point, right? Anyway, sorry to hear that. If you can wear a binder at some point, I actually found the bigger one did a better job at flattening than the smaller one. And you're talking to a former Mr. DDD.

  • Go to an Emergency Center or your doctor ASAP

  • Go to the doctor, wear really loose clothes and breathe easy, let us know you're ok!

  • damn dude! feel better.

  • hope u get better ty!!wear a bigger shirt and a blazer that'll help.if not go to ur doctor and ask for a note explaining ur situation or atleast not to go to work for a few days.

I really hope u get better hunn!!

  • i am so sorry man! pls go to the doctors!! all i can say is layer your clothes and kinda hunch over a bit.

    get well.

  • i can only repaeat what others have said and that im sorry to hear what has happened, wear layers and get yourself to a doctor and find out for sure what is up with you and i hope you get better soon

  • GO TO DOCTOR! GO DIRECTLY TO DOCTOR! Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200.

For work, all you can do is wear a loose fitting top.

  • See a doctor immediately! The symptoms you have described sound like it could be a blood clot in your lungs.

  • Aw man! This sucks so bad. :( I am so sorry. I would wear a t-shirt and then layer it with something really baggy on top. I don't know what state you live in if it's cold there or not. But get like a zipper hoodie and just wear it on top of a t-shirt. Again..I am so sorry. I understand your pain. I am learning about binders and the pain they can cause. :( If only top surgery wasn't so damned expensive.

  • So sorry hun! Hope you feel better soon!

  • Tyler I'm so sorry! You are one the first guys I communicated with on youtube and I feel bad. Other than layers when you dress or baggy scrub tops for work I dont know what else could help. Bro pls. get yourself to a doctor if you haven't already. God bless you and feel better.

  • you don't workout and bind like that do you? i am definately bigger than you..i wear one eyelet binder under two tshirts...most of the time it's not too bad looking...you look like a dude i don't think you'll have a prob with less binding in the future....wht do you wear to work? sweatshirt an option?

    take care

  • sorry to hear your not havin such a great time, iv personally just stopped wearing two binders because i wasnt feeling so great for it but im not goin through what you are and im sorry for that

i really hope you get checked out and make sure your doin everything you can to recover the best way possible

    keep strong

    code

  • i agree with the hoodies statement, not sure on the weater situation there, but sleveless hoodies are good times, as 4 work hmmm. im guessing a tank top,(vest/ wifebeater) and loose t-shirts and shirts if possible man, take care get better soon, mabie call in sick from work till it feels a bit better??

  • its nice to see how many ppl on here care for u & how much pain ur in i really hope u got some sleep & get better

  • Yikes dude...maybe this will prompt some sympathy for you and you'll get a big donation for top surgery. It's a thought...lol. Good luck...sorry you're feelin' crappy dude. Go to the doctor.

  • i am so sorry bro. i did a lot of wearing of zip up hoodies, sometimes i couldn't bind for a few days. take it is as easy as you can...definitely don't wear it at home at all if you can help it. it's all about the hoodies.

  • be careful taking meds dont mix a buncha pain killers what ever u do.

uhm id say sounds like uve cracked a rib.

they hurt a bunch but there is nothing you can do cept rest (so dont go to work) and if u go doc's he should be able to give u some strong painkillers

but when i messed up my back i was on super strong painkillers but they did nothing cos it was muscle.

so u may have tore a muscle.

uhm wear layers, layers, layers. beater.t-shirt,t-shirt,xl huddy. get better soon.

  • Ty: I am so sorry to hear of this problem and wish you a speedy recovery. I also suggest that you see a doctor.

  • sorry to hear that mand, hope u have a speedy recovery and feel better soon!

  • Sorry Ty. Where you are pushing also looks like you could have given yourself a hiatal hernia possibly. I know that when I mine gets stuck up there I can't breathe right either. In any case, you really should have it checked out. Any trouble with food feeling like it is stuck in your chest?

  • dude.have you gone to the doctor?you should probably go to a doctor or youll end up fucking urself up even more.and they could probably give you something for the pain.you could take off work if possible too.hope you get better!!

  • i'm having what you're having now... it's really painful yes.. i suggest you not to wear the binder when you're at home. normal sport bra is good enough and braless when you're off to sleep.. it make work..

and so when off to work, wear a sport bra and big shirt,t-shirt,hoodie,ect.. you'll still look damn charming bro... hehe.. have a speedy recovery Tylor..

  • sorry to hear that man. hope i gets better for u soon.

  • Damn... I'm so sorry about that dude. Feel better soon!

  • I would suggest seeing a chiropractor, it's cheaper than a doctor visit/E.R. visit.

I suggest this because how you described the pain and such, is something that I had. It was a rib out of place and it was pressing on my lung. I went to the chiropractor and he popped it back in place. HURTS LIKE HELL, but feels so good. I was back in action in about 2 days! :)

as for passing, i would try wearing smaller sized beater, tshirt, thermal,& hoodie.

    take care!

  • I'm sorry man! That sucks! Try to get an Xray in case yr ribs are pushing on a lung or something. :( As for binding, this didn't work until I'd been on T for a while and had some tissue atrophy, but then I always split a pillow case up the sides, folded it in half the long way, and used safety pins. Might not work for everyone, but it's worth a try - it's WAY more comfortable than ace bandages or back supports. I never used actual binders/underworks or anything. Good luck! Keep us posted.

  • damn.. im sorry about that. Thanks for giving out the warning even though you are hurting...

  • buy a sports bra a size bigger than you normally would, or two sizes larger just so you have a little support, then I would wear a tank top (or beater) , a tee, then a zip-up hoodie. I have a black Element hoodie and I have a big chest and even when I'm not binding I pass in it. I call it my miracle hoodie. (And I'm a DD and its a size small, I got it at PacSun. Highly recommended haha)

Good luck with healing, man. Take your vitamins :) we're all wishing you a speedy recovery

  • Sorry to hear that bro. I feel ya though cuz when I take mine off to sleep, sometimes I can't get in a comfortable position, it hurts...

My suggestion is... Do what I do when I do laundry.

I wear a huge jacket over whatever I'm wearing underneath, pullover hoodie or zip up, doesn't matter. Usually it hides it well enough that I've been called dude in the laundry room.

It probably also helps that I slouch a little when I go out like that too. You'll see it, but no one else notices.

  • Dude that sucks, I'm sorry that happened to you. Hope you feel better..

  • Yikes! I would see a doctor to determine if it's a fracture. You could also have damage within the intercostal spaces inbetween the ribs (muscle, nerve, etc). Unfortunately, I have fractured 2 ribs before and there was NOTHING I could take to eliminate the discomfort and pain (Vicodin, Flexeril, etc). It took about 2 months to heal. Hope you feel better soon!

  • Oh my. Well wishes are with you!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i guess i'm lucky because i don't have a big chest. i don't usually bind and yet tons of people call me sir when i go places. i use the female bathroom, but i shop on the mens side of every clothing store. people are prob very confused... oh well, sorry you're hurting Ty! just rest and let your body heal itself. no more tight binders! gah!

  • Ooh yikes man, sorry to hear that! I've heard horror stories, but I've never known anyone to actually go through it.

And I can relate to the being unable to breathe in too deep. It's PAINFUL!

But best of luck and I hope you feel better soon! :)

  • maybe a very wide pullover and walking with shoulders down.

i did that when i stopped wearing the binder all day long. my voice was deap like yours and nobody recognized anything.

  • oh i am so sorry. feeling with you :(

  • dude im sorry, i hope you get better fast man

  • Im doing better then i would ever think really i mean befor it happend i been crying my eyes out bc of my girl & me braken up & finding out from the start she was cheating on me & the car crash & the ribs killing me but taken all the pills my brother got for me been helping alot but not with me sleeping so i been up for 3 days & just thinking & could not do anything for my 20th bday bc of it i mean i tried to & i had someone hit into my side & omg it hurt so bad

  • a poor u i know how that could feel only been i broke 2 ribs 2 weeks ago in a car crash so i bet ur in as much pain as i been i hope it feels better soon & get some sleep

  • OMG! Are you ok?! I sincerely hope all is well, at least as well as could be given the circumstances.
