I LOVE SWIMMING!but perm doesn't.My hair responds better to chlorine natural than permed (breakage).i love my curl pattern!My hair is healthy!my permed hair barely reached shoulder length.it was more of a hassle than natural hair.I can achieve more styles w/ natural hair rather than flat and bodyless hair.it's been 2 years, my hair is longer than my shoulders! I LOVE MY NATURAL HAIR B/C IT HELPS ME TO LOVE MYSELF, FOR JUST BEING ME!

I love the freedom of my twa. I did the bc on 12-16-11 after transitiong for 6 mth and I didnt feel it at first. The barber cut too much off and my hair stayed dry. It took awhile for me to get used to my hair being that short without a relaxer but now I love it! My confidence level also had to grow so this is more than a hair journey, its also a self acceptance journey
I love being natural because of the fact that you dont have to act fake, you can always get back up! (you actually shouldnt act fake :)) Also when it comes to make-up for school or college, dont put so much on, if you like make-up, then put natural on for the day, and for the night, you can still put make-up on but that time like you want it :)

Hi Tree! I'm long-term transitioning. My last relaxer was 8/19/11. I have several inches of new growth. I'm soooo in love with my natural hair because it's absolutely beautiful! I never knew my hair was actually curly/coily and so soft and beautiful! It's actually easier to manage than the older relaxed ends. And even though I'm planning to transition for at least 18mos, it's getting harder and harder to not big chop. I'm so excited and I can't wait to be completely natural!

Being natural has been FREEing. One of the things I struggled with growing up was self confidence and a positive self image. I went to an all white Catholic grade school where I wasn't "white enough." Then from 7th grade to high school I was in public school where I wasn't black enough. I struggled with a healthy self image for a very long time. I'll be 35 on the Feb 13th and I can finally say I celebrate me! I am happy and comfy in my own skin!! My natural journey was very much a part of that.
I am currently re-transitioning and I intend to be looking forward to expressing myself and having a different look from everyone else in my community. I'm sharing this with friends and twitter.

First things first I love your videos... Second I absolutely love everything about being natural from beautiful bouncing curls to the shrinkage and even the frizz that I sometimes get. It is me, the true me I love the way it looks the way it feels and I love how freeing it is a little wild with a hent of jazzy.... I'm in love with everything from my simple wash and go's to my complicated tangles.... Honestly I'm madly in love with how perfectly imperfect my natural hair is it describes me nicely

Hi Tree! I'm long-term transitioning. My last relaxer was 8/19/11. I have several inches of new growth. I'm soooo in love with my natural hair because it's absolutely beautiful! I never knew my hair was actually curly/coily and so soft and beautiful! It's actually easier to manage than the older relaxed ends. And even though I'm planning to transition for at least 18mos, it's getting harder and harder to not big chop. I'm so excited and I can't wait to be completely natural!

I'm a 16 year old currently transitioning and trying my best to resist reverting back to my old ways.I have been transitiong for 3 months and I cant wait to see how my hair has changed in a longer length of time. I love the fact that being natural is being comfortable with yourself. Since im only 16, having people always nagging me about my hair has hurt my selfconfidence.But now I feel as though I have accepted my hair and ultimately myself. Accepting my natural hair is exciting and liberating!

Honestly, Ive just started loving my natural hair. I used to always straighten cause i never knew how to manage it on my own. But ever since the beginning of last year of researched and tested all kinds of products and Im starting to find the right products for my 4a/4b hair which can be a headache. However, I love the versatility i have now and I love the fact Im flaunting it, not to show that I have alot of hair but because I have healthy natural hair

I'm currently transitioning to natural hair & so far I love the journey! February 5th will be 4 months since I began my journey! This journey has taught me a lot about myself as well as my hair. I wouldn't change a thing about my hair! I'm looking forward to being natural because I can't wait to see what my natural hair looks like. I LOVE being natural because it is just that..NATURAL. It's not anything but me, the way I was born. After 6 years of heat heat heat, this last year of being natural has been SO liberating. I plan on staying natural for quite a while. It feels so good!

Being natural has been FREEing. One of the things I struggled with growing up was self confidence and a positive self image. I went to an all white Catholic grade school where I wasn't "white enough." Then from 7th grade to high school I was in public school where I wasn't black enough. I struggled with a healthy self image for a very long time. I'll be 35 on the Feb 13th and I can finally say I celebrate me! I am happy and comfy in my own skin!! My natural journey was very much a part of that.

I love being natural again because it's so diverse in terms of the various styles and whether or not I want my hair to be straight or curly. Being that I'm still in the twa phase, it's definitely easier for me to manage. Most of all, I love the boldness of it. A lot of women have been conditioned to believe that their natural hair isn't good enough, and I think it takes a very strong and independent-minded, confident woman to rock their natural hair with pride :) Sharing this vid on facebook!
