@pdxcommuter. Hi - I'm the person who shot the video, and great point, and I agree! Bike lane enforcement should definitely be a metric. Ditto for how many people use it.

From what I've read in _Bicycling_ and elsewhere, NYC is trying to promote how bicycle friendly it is. I'm sure that one metric they like to point to is how many miles of bike lanes they have. A bike lane isn't a bike lane if there are cars parked in it, even just one day a week. So NYC should deduct this bike lane, and all the ones like it that they don't want to enforce no parking on, from their total bike lane miles.
well done for winning peacfully, but it kinda sucks for them since its only on sunday mornings and they are probally too old to use their legs for more than 200 yards
