You know sometimes when things get bigger speed isn't what counts in a jump off, your line was quite wiggly and when your looking at larger fences that is a problem
I know it's a problem at larger fences - if your pony doesn't/can't clear them. He does that speed - clear - at 1m, and I bring him back a bit past that. That line was what the other ponies had done, so I knew if I wanted to win I'd have to do that line. It wasn't a BSJA course builder, so fences weren't placed perfectly, so you had to work out the best routes.

haha he's done it :)
he's also pony raced :)
but atm we're focussing on the BE side of things - he's doing his first Intro next weekend, so it's all focus on the flatwork.
Plus also I'm too old for PC teams now =X Which sucks, cause I used to do it when I was younger, and my old pony went on to do MGAGB
