Yup. :o! Thanks for adding me as a friend. To explain your question.Anime takes more people, designing plotting voices and etc. Normally when an anime is made, the manga is still continuing(eg. Fruits Basket) and some prts are cut out in the anime, that later on became imprtant in the manga. :P Anime also trys to keep most IMPORTANT PARTS since they are only there for normally a season while manga has a longer time- maybe years! Hope it makes sense, don't quote me but that what I think ;)
Only 7 books =P And actually it's the other way around. The anime has alot of stuff added in it that never happened. In the end of the manga, takuto was never dead and died killing himself. There are alot of stuff in the manga that is kooler then the anime. plus, i know how meroko and izumi died, so mail me if u want to know ^_^ (madoka's bf is nachi, one of the few manga char not in the anime)
volume six i know he does in flash backs in volume 5^^ i want to read volume six now i bet izumi looks really really really really really really really really really(you can skip alot of what im saying till the bottom) really really really really really really really really really really really really really reallly really really really really really really

I personally is saving up to buy the manga (for volume 3-4, i not a big fan of the first two.) I like the manga more, it is way more complicated andthe pics are so pretty. Also the plots goes out a little longer. :)
Sorta. In the manga is more serious, and there is a few more characters. Some minor characters in the anime, have major roles in the manga. You might want to check the manga first, then hit the manga. :)

wow.yea alot of animes are long,but cartoons are only long because of eps that keep on goinf on and on.(ex. Camp Lazlo)
