  • I like this better than the official video

  • FYI, this is an early demo of this song, full studio track appears on the album "Night Falls" (2010).

  • @thrushesrule I've been listening to the album for a long time. Is there anywhere you can buy a physical copy?

  • @thrushesrule Uhm... I think something went wrong somewhere.

  • @ShoegazeOttawa thx! amazon has copies or your local record store can order it for you.

  • the guitarist looks like a stupid

  • nineties fuckin sucked

  • I really like the song, but I can't deny that the lyrics structure is very cliched and lyrics itself at many points roughly 95% predictable.

  • Thrush is an old nickname for a lady that sings ;-)

  • For U.S. Americans, they are good.

  • @ukpunk1 hahah twat alert!

  • This is like a time machine to 1992... So glad I found this again!

  • @aidanday It does have a very nineties feel to it. I jsut wish the vocals were softer and lower in the mix.

  • la amo

  • Bravo!!! beautiful song!!!

  • shes hot

  • Cute

  • pretty bad

  • make you cry, bye bye, my little apple pie, don't be shy, oh my oh my, you make me cry, bye bye

  • i hate when you people write band names in initials, have no idea what bands you're refering to

  • My Bloody Valentine

  • This is nice.

  • thekingofid said it right!

  • It is good to hear a shoegaze band not recreating the MBV sound. I hate genres though. Why can't this be called what it is, alternative rock. These guys kind of remind me of the Breeders. I definetly here some Sonic Youth in ther also.

  • It's sounds very good for me.

I don't make a matter how much playing like a shoegaze rock band. The guitar playing is not for a standard poppy song. The drumming is not 1,2,3,4 playing hi-hat kick drum and snare drum. There are more singers than only the vocal singing. It's very atmospheric to sound like a standard pop song. It's a good alternative rock video though. Keep on the good work, girls and boys. O.

  • nothing about this band is shoegaze in any way.. its just bad pop music.. im not wrong about any of that... her vocals and lyrics are laughable emo lyrics and the music is corny, epic sounding pop punk.. get over it.. this isnt good.

  • Unlucky mate, you failed hard. Pop punk indeed, get it right mate. I don't think Busted fans will be queuing up to buy it.

  • @ApplwPiw

Judging by your post, you fail to understand what Shoegaze is.

The lyrics don't matter. It's all about the song as a whole. The mesh of sounds to create one flow.

  • @dontkeepthisname i thought it was actually about looking down which gave ppl the impression of looking at their shoes....

  • Gross

  • hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa! THIS IS NOT SHOEGAZE AT ALL! hahahahahahaha.. .what the fuck.. this is just pop music.. hahahahahaah.. horrible... shoegaze.. hahahahahaha... oh god.. hahahahaaaaa..funniest thing ive seen all week..hahahahaaahaa

  • You're half-right.

It's a pop song by a shoegaze band.

Slowdive and MBV did a few pop songs, buddy... Try harder.

  • As a matter of fact, shoegaze had a pop-aesthetic. Especially MBV had songs centered around a pop-elements, making it accessible but due to the style of processing and playing (trem bar - reverse reverb, vocal placement, etc) it was perceived as 'out of this world'.

  • @aidanday Well, Thrushes is an interesting case. Their album is divided between vaguely dreamy pop-punk songs and instrumental post-rock tracks. Of course the original shoegazing bands (Slowdive, Moose, Lush, etc) had elements of pop, but it was the sonic experimentation that defined them. That experimentation isn't really present in a lot of Thrushes's music. I do enjoy this band's work, but I don't think it's quite as amazing as some of the shoegaze community makes it out to be.

  • Wait a second - this is new? What? Shoegaze is back?!?!?

Wow. This is really good - but will the kids 'get' it?

  • If you don't mind me asking... what else is there to "get?" They seem to have it down.

  • The 'kids' = potential audience, not the band. lrn2context clues

  • @aidanday Also, you seem surprised that here are still shoegazing bands. If you haven't already, check out Skywave, A Place to Bury Strangers, Deerhunter, Ceremony, Silversun Pickups, Astrobrite, Air Formation, and (a little more on the post-rock end of the spectrum) Sigur Ros.

  • Hell yes. I'm in love!

  • whoa awesome

  • im going to take a pee right here

  • Best comment ever...

  • Great shoegaze guitars. And I love her voice. Amazing song.

  • oh this is great: )

bonus points for the girl singer.

  • very english style for an american band !!

  • that's awesome. i wish this music was more accessible to buy. i don't own a credit card lol but definitely should look into one just for times like these lol

  • maybe it isn't genius nor disappointing. might just be something that they just do which is really cool. i completely agree with your comment:)

  • the audio for this video is from a demo of this song. full studio version will be on the upcoming "night falls" album this winter. it is loud AND crazy!

  • roland re-201 space echo

  • Word of God on that one. Haha.

  • nice!!

  • This is good. I thought I stumbled across an early 90's band that I missed. . . . . I'll look for your records. Thanks

  • pretty sure what pedals i used when i recorded this song and chorus was not one of them.

  • my effects chain on this recording:

    danecho delay

    interstellar overdrive

    supersonic fuzzgun

    super oscillofuzz 88

    space echo re-201

    danecho delay

...and to answer an earlier poster, the video was made to a demo version of this track, new album will be released Fall 09.

  • del carajo en realidad...buen concepto buena voz y por supuesto exelentes riff de guitarras!

  • no chorus on this song. reverb and space echo

  • in ma opinion, a lot of chorus and delays.

  • Reverb, Chorus, and Delay are the big three.

Lots of distortion or fuzz, sometimes along with a flanger, is also another common signature, usually on more psychedelic tracks.

  • Music that sends a quiver of excitement down the spine. Put simply......Wonderful! Thank You for posting this gem.

  • Shoegaze all the way. Reminds me of early 90s shoegaze the most.

  • Reminds me of the band called "Belly".

  • omg thrush is an odd name but i like the song

  • yeah I works great for all their bird themed merch

  • it rhymes with lush.

  • They are a great band. This song is going to be on the new album. Can't wait for that.

  • this band is incredible what a sound!

  • that was rad:)

  • i have to disagree. reminds me more of the early 90s bands leaded by women like velocity girl, breeders, black tambourine, etc...

  • were i can download some songs? my ares doesnt find they

  • Canceled? seem like it's still working on my profile. Great song! I am looking forward to the new album.

  • yeah it is a great song. UNfortunately,it is not on their album.
