Best demo because it has something the versions since lack, soul. You can tell they really wanted to show us what they could do with a computer, with graphics and sound, just like traditional sceners always had. These days it's just boring tech that nobody cares about.

3DMark 2000 is demoscene like, showing off incredible graphics while playing awesome music tracks. This is totally unlike later 3DMark versions, which are more into serious benchmarking.

The name "3dfx" in the credits brings tears to my eyes. Best gfx cards ever. A shame that this highly inventive firm went down the drain.

Oh, and 3DMark2000 is still my favorite of all 3DMarks. I remember sitting in front of my computer with my jaw dropped, eyes popping out when I first saw it in full glory. Absolutely beautiful and stunning. The music I still carry with me on my mp3-player.

I look at this 3d mark 2000 running on something like riva tnt and I look at 3d mark vantage on geforce gtx460 and can't note big difference. This old is even better. And this music.. mmmm...

The old Mad Onion 3DMark, probably the best 3D Mark ever made with the best soundtrack.

note to poster this a fully Mad Onion project it was during 2001 they got bought over by Future Mark.
