You could have expanded it by describing the procedure:

1. Place your ear close the the patient's mouth - listen

2. Look towards their chest - for signs of movement

3. Place your hand on their abdomen - feel for movement

4. Do this for 10 seconds

5. If breathing - rolling into the recovery position

6. If not breathing - send for help and commence CPR
