i have a 04 400ex and a 99 scram 400 with a weisco piston in it, and the scrambler wins, if you get new pistons and bore out a scrambler they are 2X the machine..

I just picked up a 2001 scrammy 500 4x4.

Noticed a loud bang when doing donuts in the snow. After some googling, I realized it was the front wheels engaging even while in 2wd mode. I didn't break anything, but learned you can if you keep doing it.

Wondering if you've experienced this ?

yeah i had that problem, i took out my front prop shaft for the last 2 years i had my scrambler..that eliminated the problems, no front wheel drive to engage then!

theres really no other way to do it unless u can find some other way to disable your 4X4... good luck

I have a 2001 Polaris Scrambler 400 two stroke, and it is two wheel drive, I got mine for a good price and it is in amazing condition, mine is stock at the moment except for a K&N air filter which gives it just under two more horsepower, so it is just under 40 horsepower in total, you can do wheelies on them, ride where most 4x4 utilities can go, and they can take a beating, I top mine out a around 100 - 105 km/h it keeps up with cars on the highway maybe even a bit faster.
