  • i saved for the Bushmaster ACR, but at 2500 price point I got the LWRC M6A3 instead and i'm extremely happy. Both guns are nearly the same price so why you say??? Well at 1500 i was absolutely willing to give them a chance but at 2500, the ACR is not a proven design (long term) and parts availability will be terrible. Right now for my M6A3 i can find about 98% of my parts from any gun dealer/store. Again 1500 sure i'd take a "shot" at ACR, at 2500 thats a resounding NO!!!!!

  • The can go fuck themselves. The Beretta ARX 160 is a much better rifle, and it wasn't designed by kids and stoners from Colorado.

  • @HurpDurr okay that's all I'm really going to say to you.

  • @HurpDurr also, are you just ignorint or stupid the ARX ONLY shoots the 5.56

The ACR fires the 7.62x39 (and others) sooo I don't think I need to say more.

  • @BushMaster5150 ARX-160 shoots only 5.56??? It can fire 5.56, 5.45, 6.8 remington and 7.62 m43, so it can fire more different cartridges than acr.

Watch your comments before you say ignorant anyone and look at yourself first.

  • if the price will be around the $1500 mark, that's about half the price of an FN SCAR. this is just an inexpensive SCAR.

  • it's modular, better looking, fires 7.62x39, 6.8 spc and 6.5 grendel anduses p-mags

  • According to Bushmaster's Official release, "). Suggested retail price: Basic $2,685 and Enhanced $3,061." That fuking bullshiit. I can't believe, I am saying this: The SCAR is actually cheaper.

  • @Prodigysportsman Not any more!!!

  • cant decide between this, an actually fn scar, or a sig 556.

  • The FN SCAR is freakin 3800 bucks lol. The SIG and the ACR are runnin 1700. Id go SCAR if you wanna dish that much money but if not id go ACR. Just a second hand opinion for you. Its always helpful to me...

  • but ACR is lighter way more accurate and can fire any assault rifle bullets. perfect 4 wen ur in stealth mode and dont want any1 discoverin u due 2 bullets

  • ACR is literally half a pound lighter. If you complain about half a pound your a pussy. Its less acuurate than an AR because its a piston gun. Also they drove the price up to 2685 for the basic model and 3061 for the enhanced. The scar is noe 2500 and the only reason why we didnt sign a deal with FN for the scar is because FN doesnt have the factories to produce the quantity of weapons we want. Your a retard and dont know shit. You just want the cool new toy

  • relax. our special forces would be more effective w/ it case closed. and i dont know prices

  • Also our special forces like the SCAR. Again you dont know shit!

  • im aware that they like the scar. its currently most popular. never said it wasnt im just saying while the acr is a little expensive its still a better weapon 4 special ops. It really doesnt make a difference which 1. Just the money

  • is depends on the spec-op group...SEALS (normaly) use H&K mp-5,m4 (rarly) andthe m246', rangers m4 or m16 lol although if it were me id use the bushmaster ACR or the FN 2000 i guess

  • The ACR is too expensive for every Marine or Soldier. The FN2000 is a turd. i held one and shot one. Theyre selling for 2500 in stores. It feels so cheap that if you drop it i wouldnt feel confident in it not braking lol. The ACR is really nice but its a piston gun and piston guns are 2 MOA rifles. The M4/M16 are 1 MOA rifles

  • no iv used the FN 2000 it feel great but thats your opinion which is fine im not trying to bash lol :)

  • and incase u didnt know it can be adjusted to fire any bullet so for covert missions ur tracks are covered no matter what and dont have to worry about being detected from bullets

  • NO. Before you could change the barrel and bolt to make it 5.56 6.8 SPC and 7.62. For some reason they changed that to to only 5.56 and 6.8 SPC. 6.8 spc is expensive and hard to come by

  • Being piston driven has nothing to do with accuracy in this context. That's going to be more a function of barrel quality, ammo, lock-up, etc. Some of the most accurate semi-automatic rifles on the market are piston-driven. However, there have been some instances of people experiencing some diminished accuracy on AR platforms running a gas pistons, but the AR's of course, were never designed from the ground up to be piston driven. As shown by issues like carrier tilt, and the like.

  • a half pound dose matter when you cary about 80 pounds worth of gear...you take as much off as you can lol

  • Your name is really fitting...

  • dont worry dude your right only the BushMaster ACR can fire the 7.62x39 round along with the 6.8 NATO 5.56 so on and so forth ....(magpul and remington still shoot the 6.8 lol) not the magpul, remington or..i for got the last one lol but bored kid your..half right...i guess lol

    i Hope this helped everyone

    -BushMaster5150

  • no they changed it brother! Ive been following the ACR because my uncle is buying the enhanced version when they come out in may. The basic is beeing released March 1st and enhanced May 1st. They only fire the 5.56 and 6.8 now which was stupid of them. No force uses the 6.8 yet...

  • iv been following it also i recently checked on that and only the bushmaster version can use the 7.62 again only bushmaster idk why remington and magpul changed it i guess they just dont care lol

  • oh i found out how much it cost for civilians i mean it was befor obama became president lol 1,500 now its 2,000 i believe i thought you would whant to know considering you follow it also

  • Oh hell yea! They changed it back!? Nice but the military is gonna adopt the Remington version if they like the platform. Also on bushmasters website and according to customer service its gonna cost 2,685 for the basic and 3,061 for the enhanced. Thats way to much money for each. Might aswell buy a milled AK and an AR lol. 6.8 is expensive and hard to find anyway

  • @BushMaster5150

Can it fire 7.62x51Nato and 6.5x43 Grendal?

  • @ihateforigners

Yeah only the bushmater varient can fire the 7.62x51 and all the others(along with bushmaster) can fire the 6.5

  • Are you sure? It looks like the Magpul Massoud is supposed to fire rounds, thus Magpul created 2 guns to fire two types of rounds... battle rifle rounds and assault rifle rounds.

  • @ihateforigners yupp becuse magpul, remington ext for some stupid resone changed it, but bushmaster did then they changed it. i mean its been some time sens iv checked so it could have changed...again lol

  • @BushMaster5150 You are way off dude, the ACR nor the Masada has ever been labeled as being able to shoot 7.62x51(.308 winchester). The ACR shoots intermediate rifle rounds, the kind used in assault rifles. (5.56, 7.62x39, 6.8) The Massoud is a battle rifle version of the acr chambered in 7.62x51, a full power rifle cartridge. If you don't believe me compare a 5.56 magazine to a 308 magazine, not even close in size.

  • @ihateforigners. Yes

  • Opinions? How does the masada/bushmaster acr compare to the fn scar?

  • for one its not Belgian.

  • Desinged by an american company, 1300 dollars less than a SCAR and is simmilar to AR-15 rifles, also it is fully ambidextrous

  • damn hope its gonna be available here in Canada.

  • Hell that is sweet!!!

  • When and where can I get one? Obviously they'll be in high demand... but I'd trust my life to a rifle like this.

  • middle of 2010

  • I NEED IT!!!!!!!

  • "This is my rifle, there are many like it, but this one is mine"

    Zen

  • Its so beautiful ;0

  • Imagine what it will look like all dressed up in 6.8 caliber! Can you say saaaawweeeeeeeeet?

  • What is your major malfunction numbnuts?!

  • Don't have one, what's yours asshole?

  • Don't you get it fag. You put down a line from Full Metal Jacket and so did I. Don't get your pannies all in a bunch. Didn't mean to offend you.

  • I apologise, it was the middle of the night and I reacted and didn't realize it was from FMJ until after I made my idiotic retort.

  • What happened to the Massoud? 7.62 x 51 version?

  • thats what I'm wonderin. Did you find any info on it?

  • magpul has a youtube page, it's on there

  • Whats on there?

  • It uses a piston system not a direct gas system like the AR15.

  • I spoke with Bushmaster the other day, they told me it was hopefully coming out July/August time frame for 1400-1600 dollars. It will probably be MSRP 1600 or so, and depending on the gun store you could get it for less or more. Just an FYI.

  • Does anyone know if any specific gun stores will carry it?

  • Probably everyone who can get their hands on them, unless its some old crusty dude that runs the place. The best thing you could do is to call the stores in your local area and express interest in the weapon, that you will buy one as soon as it is in stock, and have all your friends do the same. Get the demand going and they will fill it as soon as they can make the money off you.

  • Gah, according to the Bushmaster website they're aiming to release it for civilian sales somewhere around first quarter 2009.

The nightmare vision I keep having is that in the meantime congress forces through a new assault weapon ban and it will be too late to buy one.

    :O

  • You could always order an MSAR steyr aug clone. You can get a 20inch barrel in a short rifle, giving you better bullet performance accuracy/velocity/fragmentation range. They take PMAGs. I am worried Bush will bomb Iran and start ww3 or 300 a barrel oil which would crash the US economy. That could happen anytime really. So stock up NOW

  • Yep, I agree, things look bad. I hope I have enough time and money to get better prepared before the Fit hits the SHan.

  • I love your name LMAO. I joke about that sometimes. Damn worthless UN. I suggest you have a primary AR15 type weapon, silenced if possible, with a set of night vision goggles and subsonic ammo. Own the night!

  • I do have one, registered shorty. It needs a can for sure. Have a 1+ gen NV scope. I want to upgrade to a 2nd gen NV14 type. As for subsonic, I may get a 300 Whisper type barrel for my future ACR.

  • Just order some subsonic .223 for now from EBR. It will penetrate a water melon at 50 yards for sure...

  • Thou shall respect gunnery sergeant Emmery Hartman!

  • Nevermind! I just noticed them saying "gas piston" must've not been paying attention.

  • One thing I must know, does it use a gas piston operating system?

  • I wonder what Bushmaster is going to set the price at ?????

  • supposed to be 1400.

  • Official release date? As in what month...

  • 2nd quarter 2008. I'm guessing this is a fiscal quarter so anytime between now and March 31st.
