this is quite simply one of the best records ever made i so so love it. such great memories from 1990, will that great period between say 1988 and 1995 ever be repeated musically? i have to say no but hey i have the memories
@BSHARPEYE1 i popped into a duffers shop about a year ago just off neal street and they told me you had a shop in portobello rd. i popped in once but you wernt around that day. im not on facebook im afraid. .always remember you with an old cassette player playing manudebango big blow at aldersbrooke!!!
@BSHARPEYE1 i could remember it was one of them two. have had a love of music forever and was aware of ur stuff with diane brown. harry green told me a few years back that you lived in new york. but he has gone to nz now
I'd like to put the lyrics of this on our site, unfortunately I don't understand a small part of it ... can you help anyone? sounds a bit odd ... "the world is for your takin' / this i know you know / so keep on standing brother / all your love will surely blow" ... that correct?!
This 1990 funk/jazz track is all that, the groove and bassline is so damn funky, along with those vocals that are laced with soul, and after nearly two decades, this still sounds fantastic, most of today's music can't hold a candle to this, grade A 90's music, undoubtedly!!
I'd like to avoid the "ancient" word here. It sounds very muffled on this video, but that's NOT the original sound! I have this on CD and compared to my recording, this video's audio track sounds like an old tape! So if you heard the original off the vinyl or the CD I'm sure you wouldn't say "ancient" any longer!

from one of the best albums i've ever bought. Wish they'd done more.
Remember seeing them perform the whole album start to finish at Brixton Fridge at Talkin' Loud one Friday night - immense.

hard to believe how ancient 1990 sounds, but this song stands the test of time. I wish I could jump into the video and dance w/the crowd

I was using hyperbole when I said "ancient."
