  • How long did you wait for it to dry? My Northbridge water block leaked onto my video card and i need to clean off the crystallization on it as well as inside the PCI slot, do you think this spray will work for that?

  • @dragnslyr648 This stuff dries incredibly quick, within minutes for the amount that I sprayed on my mobo here. You will notice a residue but its harmless considering what it takes off, if you feel up to it you can wipe it off but its really not needed. The sooner you get to it the better, don't settle for any other brand or junk, I have tried all the local type stuff and its not the same. I believe scientifics online has this for the cheapest shipped per bottle.

  • @chaosticbunny I went out and bought the radio shack brand to try on my video card, but it hardly removed any of the water stain on the PCB. I hope it still works, i can't really test it right now though. I also sprayed some into my PCI slot. The spray i used did leave residue on the board, but after using compressed air/dust off it wasn't much of a big deal. I'm still disappointed that it couldn't remove the stain, i'm sure it's causing some massive resistance.

  • @chaosticbunny I even tried using a toothbrush to carefully scrub the area clean, which helped more than the spray did, but there's still a lot left.

  • @dragnslyr648 Yes I tried to warn you the local brands do not work at all. Because yours is heavily sedimented you may need to look at getting a small tub like tupperware and fill it up with denatured alchohal. You should google this heavily and remember safety first googles and gloves. When I fix water damaged cell phones I usually bathe it for 30-60 seconds, I go by eye. Then wash it off immediately with Blow Off brand Contact Cleaner. Post a picture if you can, imgur.com. Thanks!

  • @chaosticbunny dragnslyr648 is my imgur account. I was only able to get one decent image to come out out of the 20 I took, I don't know how to turn off the flash on the camera so... anyways in the picture it looks like 10 times better than what it did at first, but there's still a lot of the green stuff in the middle of all those small components right above that screw in the middle of that white line that outlines the processor. Also what should i stick in my PCI slot to clean the contacts?
