  • This honey voiced gal never hit a wrong note, and she was so versatile, Remember "Temptation"?

  • love her awesome

  • What a wonderful singer. She touches my heart.

  • o I JUST WANT TO BUY THIS LP

    so marvellous

  • Lovely relaxed American voice.

  • Jo Stafford was one of my favorite singers dating back to my life in the late 1930's. My family will always remember her as she was a very close friend to the family.

  • THIS IS WHAT I CALL "MUSIC".

  • Lovely song, beautifully rendered by the perfectionist in intonation. Vocalists such as Jo Stafford will endure for ever

  • Lovely! I never knew that she recorded this tune for Columbia Records as well! I was only familiar with the V-Disc version from 1945 and her recording for Reader's Digest from 1970 with The Pied Pipers (probably a quartet of studio singers and not THE Pied Pipers, but not too sure about that) Thanks for sharing!!

  • @Playedback You seem to have answered my question: it must have been the V-Disc version used in A Single Man.

  • One of the greatest. Keep her songs coming.

  • RIP Jo and Darlene. Thanks for the happy times you've given us.

  • RIP Jo Stafford - may the legend never die!

  • I have a different version of that song, probably Jo recorded it more than once...

I'm sad to hear that she passed away =( thanks for your tribute

  • When did she pass away? That's so sad. She was a great singer, exceptional.
