when u say boiled basmati rice, do u mean cooked rice? also, for 2 cups of basmati rice, how many cups of water shud i use, to cook in a pressure cooker? Kindly do clarify my queries, as i'm thinking of preparing this, for the Holidays..
@TheDrtomz Yes boiled rice means cooked rice - here is the easy way to measure. Put all the rice in a pot. Pour water till it is almost half inch above the rice. That is the amount of water that you will need. Wishing you the best of Holidays.
@sfehmi Thank you, for the reply. I tried it out yday, & it came out well. I took a chance, & it paid off! I was impressed. ;) & I'm sure to try out more of ur recipes... wishing you too the Best of The Seasons Greetings...
Wonderful reciepe ... Loved it... I like the part where you have made a thick masala along with boiled eggs .. and added in process of cooking in layers with biryani.. which will make it blend well with rice and give good flavors.. good work..

@TheSienna29 - Take a pinch of saffron and add hot water - let it soak for a minimum of 10 minutes - you will notice that the water changes color. You can also use hot milk in place of water.

This dish is awesome! Do you recommend using tablespoon of cumin seed to give it an extra spark?

Where did you get the huge enamel coated cast iron pot? I have several from Lodge and LeCruset, but none that large.
