  • Coming from someone whose favorite band is rush and never even bothered with these guys I must say I am very impressed and surprised to hear someone be able to do a rush song (bass needs work) This is actually a compliment coming from me.

  • i am a fan of ~ rush ~ ...this is effin fabulous :o) ~

  • Two of my most-favorite bands ever.

    I like.

  • The vocalist is actually a better singer than Gedster. Sorry. Rush are still better musicians, but this cover is far out.

  • The best cover I've ever heard of this tune!

  • Zebra covered Rush?! Wow, who knew. Sounds pretty good, too. Recording's not great, but that Ric bass definitely cuts through.

  • @RCAvhstape They actually did several Rush Songs. I remember at least a couple more like Spirit Of Radio. They even did ride My See Saw By The Moody Blues. Zebra is without a doubt the best band I ever saw in a Club on Long Island back in the early 1980's, and there were lots, but only Zebra and Twisted Sister got signed.

  • @egcroan

I'll step that up one level. Zebra is still the best rock band that I have ever seen live!

    EV

  • @egcroan I seen them do spirit of Radio,The twilight Zone & a passage to Bangkok.

They were a phenominal 3 piece band.Still are! Seen them at BB Kings about a year ago. They still play go to thedoordotcom .Rat Race Choir was another Killer band that never really got their due.

  • One power trio paying tribute to another! Yessssss! Never knew Zebra covered this. Thanx for posting!

  • These guys did it righteous!!!

  • This is cool. Rush is by far my favorite band and always will be. This is a good cover. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery......

  • I am glad you have these on here it shows that they werent just a Zepplin band!!

  • @eileensongs Zebra was the ultimate band to see in a bar back in the day. Some may say Rat race choir were up there too.But Randy had so much vocal ability you could here anything from rush, zeppelin, moody blues ect. This band was 1 of the best i ever seen in the 80`s.To be able to see them from 5 feet away made it that much sweeter.Zebra rocks!!!

  • @stiehlreddog That s iso true, it was great seeing them back then I go back even further and I saw them do Aerosmith, Queen, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, David Bowie,Wishbone Ash, The Knack and Frampton as well.

  • @eileensongs Wow! I seen them do Bowie,zz top, montrose also.None of the other stuff though.I was turned on to them by a friend in the early 80`s and was hooked ever since.Randy`s vocal range is so amazing i could see them doing any of those other groups though.Great band!Funny, i still go and see them when there in town.Just saw them about a year ago at BB Kings.Another great show.

  • @stiehlreddog Ove been seeing them since 76. I love Rat Race Chior too. They are musician's musicians. Saw Felix and Dave play bass together at Speaks when Zebra played. Loved Essence too. Check out this band Journey tribute The Great Escape from Mass. Lead singer Jason Paulino
