So much of Kevin's interactions with these magnificent animals is just fascinating, but one thing sticks out....the size of them. With Kevin in such close proximity, you can get a real sense of the size and strength of these beasts. His head is dwarfed by the lion heads. And even the hyenas are very big. I'll bet he's been injured a few time playing with them. I can't get over the massive paws just pushing his head around...funny, but he looks fragile in the grip of such might.

Basically, he entered an enclosure with a fully grown male that he didn't know very well. He ignored a clear sign that the lion, Tsavo, did not want him to come in today but he was under pressure in trying to impress his family. He explains in his book that even this lion that didn't know him very well showed restaint in his attack as he was just putting him in his place.

He saved it from death released it an it followed him home.. but it has freedom an respect an you can tell the Reptile has some sort of emotional attachment to him.

I just watched the movie White Lion and it wasn't bad 6/10 but it had the potential for so much more. He reminds me of my hero Steve Irwin very much. I can only imagine what him and Steve could have accomplished together. But with men in this world still like kevin there is hope.
