I've been Beatles fan since 70's, have tons of books about them, read tens of articles, made a lenghty series of Beatle radio shows on the radio. So I don't have to use wikipedia. If you say that changing a line or two makes Paul co-author of the song, then you're wrong. John painted the picture, Paul hanged it on the wall.

They decided to sign all the songs Lennon/McCartney thought it is generally known that many of their songs were written solely by the former or the latter. For example "Yesterday" was Paul's composition, "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite" was Lennon's, "Blackbird" was Paul's and "Help!" was Lennon's. All of them are creditied to both musicians though. I could go on giving examples who wrote what but I am tired of this.
