Amazing! People need to show more respect to these creatures. They are highly intelligent and self-aware. Scientists have ruled them as non-human persons. So why do we still treat them as less than human?

In the wild, it has become customary for cetacean (especially prominent in Orcas) first borns to be die due to the enormous toxins built up in the fatty first milk of the mother. This is sad yet at least the mother excretes a load of toxins so her second born has a better chance. Males on the other hand, simply accumulate toxins in their body fat for life, which is becoming shortened by infections and disease of their weakened immune systems.

It really is OUR fault these tragic scenes happens!

It is amazing how intelligent these beautiful animals are, so sad to see the dolphin trying to get her baby to respond. Thank you for sharing this, maybe people will see how important these creatures are to earth. That we should not keep them in captivity or kill them in masses! They should be left alone in the ocean where they belong!

unbelievable, this made me sob uncontrollably knowng how much feeling and passion dolphins have similar to humans, yet they are treated like mere nothing and brutally killed by the horrible Taiji hunters and other hunters as well having no respect for them as a highly intelligent amazing species of mammals.

My wife is from there and knows Scarlet and George and she says the dolphins are just people in dolphinsuits and they are just as loving as we are.To lose a child due to infectionis terrible, Good to the mom dolphin to trust humans they have been around to do the right thing? She wants to show me how beautiful they are when we come to texas and from her stories I cant wait. I will be shooting lots of pictures to bring home since we dont have dolphins in Iowa obvisously. This really shows how they are similar to us, affetionate and thoughtful to their children.  If they don't trust humans, they cannot bring their precious baby to us. They know what we are and what to do in emergency, but humans don't. I want to show this video to all japanese and tell them not to kill dolphins.
