  • Smallville's most perfect scenes are those without words =')

  • Even Doomsday would cry during this scene.

  • I cry at this scene bc it reminds me of my dad

  • I cried at this scene literally...

  • The best cry clark ever had right here....

  • Most touching scene ever. I miss smallville

  • Oh god I cry everytime I see this....

  • This scene gets me every time

  • Anyone know what the music playing here is? I'm trying to find it

  • The final episode of smallville. Almost wish i would have stopped watching after this. Most powerful scene of any show.. and im a dude

  • This scene was great. Because I had a friend over when this came on. She saw me cry. Felt like a fool. But had to show her the true love I had for this show.

  • Wow, just wow, beautiful scene. Bu the way, this is season 5, episode "Vengeance"

  • Please could you tell me in wich season appear this scene?...it truly beautiful and sadness...i think the best in all Smallville history...thanks for the upload

  • @JoeJacksonMichael Season 5!!!

  • such a powerful scene, makes me miss my uncle that much more

  • Waw. This might be the best scene in all smallville. Thank you for uploading it.

  • I think what tugs those heartstrings extra hard is that there's really nothing like the bond a child has with a father who knows how to be a great dad. My little girl hugs me and never wants to let go and every time her sweet voice calls out "Daddyyyyy!" I get a little choked up inside knowing that some day, I'm gonna have to say good-bye. There's nothing like a "Daddy's" love and I think it's THAT fact that gets everybody lachrymose by the end of this scene.

  • NO ONE CAN EVER UNLIKE THIS! MOST OF MY FRIENDS LOST THEIR FATHER AT A YOUNG AGE, MOST I LOST FRIENDS AT A YOUNG AGE, LOTS OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCE THIS IN OUR LIVES! I STILL WATCH THAT SCENE TIL THIS DAY!

  • And to see clark, big strong superman, cry. Oh god i cant do this.

  • This scene doesnt effect me until Johnathon says "Bye-bye" I rewind it to that twenty times and I just sob. John reminds me of my father, who isn't doing well health wise. I don't know if he'll be there at my wedding, or get to see my own kids. He was married before and got to do it all with my oler sibblings, who are in their 30's, but I'm only 14

  • @gleekable14 I know how you feel i'm 13 and my daddy might not get to see me grow up and sometimes i just cry about it but then i realise it's best to be strong and support him and Smallville has inspired me in series 5 and onwards, like the way Clark has to deal with the grief and how it effects him and also this scene always brings tears to my eyes,i just don't want that to be me one day :/

  • @XxMemooRosexX Ya. I love this show, and after Jonathon died, the way clark dealt with it really helped me to understand to love the time I have left with my father.

  • @gleekable14 I know that this is 3 months too late, but he will always be there for you. No matter what. My father abandoned my sister and I, and I wish I had the luxury of feeling the love of a father like clark and you have experienced. I hope this helps you.

  • Love your eyes lana!!!!! mwaaaaaaaaaaah

  • omg this is sooo sad

  • johnathan was a big part of the show

  • This hurts more than kryptonite.

On a serious note though, amazing scene.

  • Johnatan kent was the perfect example of a great father!! wish i had someone like him for a father.

  • Trato de ocultar sus sentimientos, pero al ver el video, todo afloro y pues tenia que sacar ese dolor no?

  • This scene gets me everytime...!! Guess we search for the meaning to our own experiences!!!

  • Whats this tune called?? I cried when I watched this episode :'( So touching

  • this is the best upload i have seen in years and it is the saddest moment in smallville ever kepp up this great great work

  • I guess even Superman cries... :(

  • Name this song? It's fantastic...

  • What season its this episode? I started seeing smallville 2 months ago, and im almost at the end of Season 3... This part made me cry, so i wanted to know what season it's this, to i go watch quicly!

  • @zZRaiden It's about halfway through season 5

  • such a moving moment, i cried the 1st time i saw this :( bye jonathan we'll see you in season 10

  • does anyone have any idea what the song is in the background? ive tried everything trying to find it. sounds like an original piece for this scene which im hoping its not.....

  • dammit now i have tears all over my keyboard

  • It hurts so much 2 see this clip, i cry alot because I miss Johnathan Kent so much and between the part when Johnathan says "goodbye" then to when clark cries lose it the most. RIP Johnathan Kent - My Dad

  • even tho he is the man of steel he still has a heart this marked the beginning of clarks destiny and if have watched season 10 episode "homecoming" clark burrys the watch he has on and lets his past fall behind him cause clark new even tho is dad is gose he will be with him no mater where he gose

  • yes sir I agree

  • darn this one's a real tearjerker..kryptonite!

  • Oh my goodness, when I first saw this scene I was teary eyed, but when Jonathan said "Bye bye" I just broke down. I miss his character so much :'(

  • beautiful scene. just beautiful.

  • this made me cry. and i dont cry watching tv. ever.

  • Please I Need Help!!! For Fans OF Smallville....

What is The Name of hte Song Of Mark Snow in this Scene?? Thanks A Lot

  • omg I cried like a baby ;(

  • Darn no matter how hard I try not to cry when i see this scene I can because is to sad :( it always gets to me.

  • anyone figure out the music for this scene.

  • Ow man..so sad..i always cry with this scene..=(

  • Even with all his superhuman abilities, Clark might be more human than us all.

  • awww..... this is such a moving scene... *sniff.

  • This made me cry...

  • such a nice scene. the man of steel breaking down into tears; seldom do we see that from the man of tomorrow.

  • what song is this?

  • You knw i guess sumtyms wen i jst miss being human en not crying i jst watch this clip and everything jst seems to fall into....i cry..i luv this scene..watch it everyday...

  • I wish I could get this song somehow, i would probably still cry just listening to it and pictureing the scene.

  • seee

    cual es el name

de la cancion q sale en este

    amazing capitulo!!!

  • only moments like these can make you want to cry about watching smallville, I always find myself wiping a tear in my eye after watching this clip.

  • This scene breaks my heart every time I see it. I'm crying now!

  • I didn't cry but I was definitely moved. People have invested emotion into Jonathan and he was a great character with a tragic demise. He's like the father (most of us) never had.

  • right when johnathan says bye bye, and you see that tear come down clarks face......dang.....very emotinal. especially if you've been watching the series for so long before this scene and are so used to seeing these characters in every episode.

amazing acting by tom welling here.

  • i hope i dont spoil anything but this past friday when clark saw johnathan i almost lost it

  • When I watched this episode for the first time, I cried, even when I was 14 by that time. It's just a series, but for me it's my childhood, being a fan of Superman and stuff related.

And if the man of steel can cry, everybody in this world are allowed to do so, no matter how old they are. Who laughs at people who are not afraid to show their emotions by crying is a jerk.

  • It's always hard when you can relate to losing a loved one and then watching home movies of you and that person. it's probably one of the most saddest experiences in life.

  • how can you not cry on this episode? but jonathan kent will be back for the series finaly this september!

  • HonestlyI can say that because of everything that happened in this season, season 5 was the darkest season of Smallville.

  • I cry almost everytime I watch this scene. One of Tom Welling's best acting performances.

  • I keep coming back to see these sad scenes and it makes me realize how much the WB was able to make such an EPIC 5th and last pure season of smallville and the last season to be aired on the WB channel before the channel was switched to myATL and half the WB's showes was moved to the CW, lest they where able to continue it ok, and season 6 was pretty heroic too!..I like the Chloe, Oliver and Clark working together to defeat evil idea, and hope to maybe see more of it in comics of the show,

  • new season woooo!!

  • One of the saddest scenes I've ever seen. 5 *****

  • Very Sad scene. Nice acting!

  • When Jonathan said "Good bye" I cried...

This is the very moving scene in all Smallville...

  • i just want to break down and cry,,,,i can feel the pain.

  • I cried like Clark when I realized my need to invite Jesus Christ into my life.

  • very moving indeed

  • yes¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ the best and moving scene in smallvile¡¡¡¡¡¡ cry clark

  • I allways get that Im going to cry well up in my throat. In a way jonathan Kent was a Father to me growing up watching smallville it would of been nice to have a father like him.

  • this is why smallville is great. its never been about action, or even a whole lot about superman. its about the characters.

  • i quit watching this show for a long time after they killed off jonathan

  • This scene still sheds a tear in my eye, but I was so happy Clark finally got to see Jonathan one last time in the afterlife in Void. Both are beautiful scenes

  • Johnathan was my favourite character even though i knew his death was inevitable. =(

  • season 5 was the pinnacle of smallville. unfortunately its been downhill ever since.

  • Damn this scene...5 years later...is still a KILLER! The final "bye-bye" by Jonathan and then the cut to the close up of the watch. Woo, that hurts! :'(

John Schneider is the man though. He understood the character of Jonathan Kent inside out!

  • one of my favorites. thanks for posting!!!

  • Where can I get the music for this scene?

  • i hate goodbyes.

  • ahhh this scene kills me. i teared up so bad. tom welling is such a good actor but they dont really give him any really emotional stuff anymore. i really want them to do something that shows off his acting chops soon like i dont know make lois get really hurt or something so we can see how incredible tom is again. jonathan kent was everyone's father. i learned so much from him (cause i never had a dad)

  • It reminds me when my mom died when I was lil. That is why s5 is hard for me to watch

  • Sure I get a little sad at emotional scenes in tv or movies, but I'm not the kind of person that gets tears at them. Tears have never fallen from my eyes at those times...and then I saw this scene when it aired...and then happened again just now when I found it here. It was a goon run for not getting tears at the tv.

  • oh tears in my eyes.. lol

wat a sad scene.. love it..

  • smallville had some good episodes. Too bad those later seasons is complete crap.

  • this scene is so freaken sad..

on supernatural season 2 "heart" the ending is sad as this one too.. i think..

but i love supernatural and smallville.. :D

  • Wow...great scene......wait.....am i crying?

  • la escena final donde aparece clark y su mama abrazados y su papa en la pantalla es tan conmovedor me encanta esta escena

  • wow, great scene

  • That goodbye from Jonathan...WOW. I always shed a tear.

  • I agree.

  • Why is the music so perfect?

  • Even if I don't cry when I watch this scene, I always tear up.

This is truly one of Smallville's best and moving scenes throughout the show's history.

Jonathan saying goodbye is always the tearjerker for me.

    Thanks for this wonderful upload.

  • @tunapup12 omg me too i always cry even if i watch it 20 times

  • @tunapup12 yup most definitely, plus you see a side to clark like never before

  • Such a great episode. Get's me everytime. A great ending to a great scene.

  • Who now the music theme in this moment?

  • what song is this???this scene is simply the best

  • this and the end of memoria are my favs

  • I agree this scene was ver sad and wen Johnathon said bye in the vid I started to tear a little bit

  • oh wow, this scene makes me cry =(

  • Same here. Oh dear.

  • Gets me every time.

  • blue coat for blue face

  • This scene and the entire episode about Buffy's mom's death are incredibly upsetting. I cry non-stop - it's kind of pathetic!

  • its not pathetic at all, its such a moving scene especialy when john says bye in the vid, im pretty sure everyone had tears in their eyes at that point

  • Just shows you're human.

  • 'Tom Welling is just so good in this role!

  • The saddest scene on Smallville for sure - it still makes me cry! Incredibly acted and a really beautiful and respectful departure for Jonathan Kent!

  • this actually made my eyes wet.....:(

  • i love this scene very much. i also love how in the video they are watching Johanthon Kent calls Clark the Man of Steel.

  • makes you appreciate what you have in a family, parents being the prime example.

  • best scene.. jonathan kent saying bye

  • Comment removed

  • this was really sad one of the saddest of smallville

  • This is the best scene from Smallville yet. Does anyone know the name of this music playing......??????

  • Great scene and I think the reason it's captured so much attention is that Tom Welling seemed to embrace the idea of letting go. He was definitely in this scene with all his strength.

  • this was the first episode to make me cry on smallville

  • I cried on the episode Memoria. Such a good episode.

  • Its just a show.....But for someone like me that can relate....I am saddened by this clip and moment in Smallville. I cried and still do everytime I see this clip. Smallville is one hell of a show!

  • Really moving sad scene! Sad scenes rock if done right! Had me cry one tear along with Clark in the middle there and usually I won't cry for dead puppies!

  • i love sad scenes with the right, no, with the perfect music... just perfect... makes me cry, so beautifulllll

  • Everytime I see this video it makes me almost cry cauz its so sad cauz Clark lost Jor-el and then he loses Jonathan

  • one of the best scenes of smallville ever!

  • cried like a freakin baby...

  • I hated they got rid of johnathan kent character. the show just felt empty for awhile without him.

  • awsome scene 4 realx

  • This show had a wonderful talent behind the music, which is the main reason it lasted more than three seasons. At 1:57, you'll see this person's name. This is the real reason why the show is so moving. Give this man the credit he deserves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • btw I heard Annette O'Toole talking about that scene as being real. Tom Welling did cry as John Schneider was leaving the show. That's what makes this scene so special and yet so sad. It just felt real.

I have to give a mention to my fav character Lex played by the brilliant MR who plays the character with soo much intensity and emotions. Lex's story is actually tragic after following his develpment.

  • whats with John and his tragic deaths first here which was bad enough then i actually started watching Secret life of american teenager as annoying as it was just because he was there then he freaken dies. wtf john wtf

  • this last scene just gets me everytime. Smallville does this to u which is why it's one of the best written shows on TV. You just get so emotionally involved with all the characters. The story maybe fictional but it portrays a certain reality about life and our loved ones. I cried when he says 'bye bye' and when I see the pain on Martha's face, then when she embraces him and then to see Clark leting it out ,the pain of losing his beloved father is just too much. That scene/acting is perfection!

  • Smallville is the closest thing to a soap opera that I will get.

  • what's name of the music?

  • I don't know why I came and watched this...no other ending on Smallville is as beautifully sad as this one...I always start crying like a baby when Jonathan says "this young man's a man of steel" The music is so pretty...

  • when he says 'bye bye' im like ahh. -tears-

  • clark mourn ever saw in this chapter, in the crash of wool in the Arctic and when you see the video of wool, so do not cry

. the truth really cute and sad at the same time!

  • it's the goodbye bit that gets me.....(goodbye).x.x.x.

  • damn if i was lana i would make clak feel so happy aboutt what he did i mean he fucking lost his dad that to me is the utimate sacifice lana you better be dan greatful and live

  • Omg! This is so sad! Makes me cry everytime :(

  • Great Smallville scene! very moving

  • i never noticed it until now but young Clark is wearing the exact same clothes as the one that Tom wears

  • i do so well up to jonathan's goodbye and then i start bawling. i watched this with my friend and we went through a ton of tissues.

  • i was crying when i saw this for the first time

  • I don't think there is a particular name for the song. It was probably something composed by the show's composer, specifically for this scene.

  • bah noone actually knows the name of this song nooooooo. love this scene and i must agree with all this scene still gets me teary eyed when i see it great writers, great actors, great show

  • This episode is one of my all time favorites. I cannot watch it without crying.

  • this scene...omg it's so sad! it always makes me cry. no matter how good a mood i'm in, this just always does it to me.

  • After that the second time we saw Clark cry like that was In Smallville Artic when Lana left him.

  • I think the whole episode is soo sad!1I cried soo much!!

  • forget the instrumentals that was playing during the scene, what was the name of the music that was playing in the ending credits

i only watch this video time and time again is to listen to that song

  • This is the first time I saw Clark "truly" crying. An amazing scene.

  • yes, what is the name of the last song in this scene and in all episode

  • As a fan I actually started to miss seeing John Schieder after this episode. He's the best actor to play Jonathan in my opinion. It broke my heart when he said goodbye on the tv. What's even sadder is that Jonathan kent never saw who his son turned out to be.

  • what's the name of the song on the ending credits

    sound's like a good song

  • Whenever I doubt Smallvilles's ability to write powerful, meaningful stories, I come back to this scene and remember how amazing this show can be. Smallville has been a show that has had tremendous highs and lows, but when it's high, like this scene, it's hard to find better television.

  • sniff...

i cry every single time i watch this scene..

    smallville rules!!!!

  • I didn't even sad at the funeral,

in the last episode --> 5x12.

But this... Oh God... Totally crushed me...

    It's just SOOOOOO Sad...

The saddest scene of the entire serie.

My eyes are full with tears even now. :( :(

  • That was so fricking sad and so powerful i have tears in my eyes. thanks for posting.

  • I'm a 20 year old guy in the military and I admit that this scene has brought out tears from me every time, I practically bawled the first time I saw it.
