DO NOT BUY THESE PUPPIES FROM TEXAS. chances are they come from a very inhumane place called a puppy mill. if you do not know what these are, look them up.

always make sure you go and check out who exactly you are buying a puppy from.  you may thing you're saving the puppy from that place, but really you're just enabling the horrible people that run these puppy mills.

there are corgis that are available to be adopted from rescues. buy these corgis instead.

Dora is definitely a Pembroke; she has what is called a sable coat. Our Pembroke lived 14 years and now we have a Cardigan cross who by his size is half Cardigan, half Clydesdale!

Corgis ARE good pets and have a big dog feel to them despite the length of their legs. Our Pembroke was a highly trained service dog whereas our Cardigan does not have much of an education at all.

actually, it's NOT hard to tell. Pembrokes have a naturally bob tail. Cardigans have long tails. if you know the tail has been docked (cut) then it's a Cardigan. if you don't know if the tail has been docked, you really don't have a way to tell other than blood testing. but generally speaking, the Pembroke won't have a tail. the Cardigan will also have larger rounded ears, whereas the Pembroke will have pointed ones.

Part 1. Corgis are a big dog in a smaller package. i grew up with corgis. Many corgis. They are great dogs, as long as they are trained properly. They have herding instincts, and can easily get over powered with them, if not trained manners.
