DANCHGO, all effort was made to maintain decorum and honor at Officer Valadez's funeral. I feel that this video and his story should be told over and over. A policeman's funeral should be so seldom as to evoke both compassion and outrage by all who see it.

To my fellow Officers, I had the honor of being right at the exit of the church as Officer Valadez was being brought out. There was a photographer right next to me and I did not have time to tell him that this was not the place for him to be. Looking at the tribute I guess letting him stay was the right thing after all. Its kind of funny were life brings you.

I went to the St Jude March around the time that our city wanted to put up a sign honoring the black panthers. at the march, i held a sign for our fallen officers that were killed by these people. It was the hardest thing I've ever done but at the end, the best thing.

An officer asked if I was related to the officers, and I told him I was not. He didn't understand that.

Some of us are just trying to do things for those that cannot anymore, in a respectful way....
