Pffft. Come to Nova Scotia, we have "Farewell to Nova Scotia" ('cause most people leave here for the wes'ern Provinces), Hank Snow, more Lobster than Maine, Trailer Park Boys, and we have 99.9999 feet of snow, .0001 less than Maine, and we have Halifax (which in the past few years, has had more crime per capita than Los Angeles)... So come here instead of staying in Maine.

funkyfryer: Use'-ta be, in Maine 8th grades, a half-year of Maine history instruction in schools was required by law. Thus you'd-a knowed Maine has a song--as do the other 49 states, believe it or not.

Apparently, the curriculum has been "politically corrected" by edu-crats with agendas. Now, students are indoctrinated about slavery, Marilyn Monroe, evil Nixon, global warming, gay rights, racism, blah-blah-blah. Nothing about heritage, origins, principles of the American Founding. Sad.
