ENJOYED WATCHING YOUR VIDEO AND LEARNED SOME THINGS. I WONDER IS YOU HAVE TRIED OTHER CATALYSIS THAN STEEL ROD, THEY ARE SURE CHEAP ENOUGH. I'M INTERESTED IN BUILDING A UNIT SIMILAR TO YOURS, I TOOK 24" OF RIVER WATER IN MY SHOP AND SURE NEED SOME HELP TO REGAIN WHAT I CAN, IN THE FORM OF TOOL STEEL BITS AND MACHINE PARTS. I DON'T KNOW IF THE MUD IS GOING TO INTERFERE WITH THE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTION BUT IT WORTH A TRY. THANKS FOR SHARING THE INFORMATION TONY G.
@Pablo453 So it removes the rust but not the chrome. I have a entire unit body car I would like to use this process on. It would great if it would remove paint as well. Thanks for posting this process. It is a much better alternative to acid.
@oWarpatho Never heard of using an arc welder for this. I suppose any DC power supply would work as long as it can put out enough amps. 15 amps seems to do pretty well though. Thanx for the comment, I'll have to check into that.
Nice Video, I would have thought the battery charger would be too small for a tank that size. Ever hear of using a small arc welder for a larger tank?

Very innovative! Does the process remove paint?

@gilesmortimer It only removes paint that isn't bonded well or has rust under it.
It's also safe for chrome.

@oWarpatho The charger puts out 15 amps and works fine for this application.
I've never heard of anyone using an arc welder for this.
