@BabyxxSparksxx I've had both, and I don't know about you but ummm...I drop things a lot? I found that having the separate is the best hahaha, Although having them all together is just so damn convinient. The only problem is if you drop a palette, you have to fix ALL the colours...not just one :(. But I drop things constantly, mac are quite sturdy, it's just when they get old and thinner that they'll break. It just looks so cool to open up a palette with all your favourite colours!

@BabyxxSparksxx if you plan on getting a lot of MAC eyeshadows it might be a good idea to put them in palettes to save room, but if you dont care about saving space then just get them in the containers.

I just went to the MAC counter today and saw the new Peacocky line and it looks amazing, so the blues and greens from that line are going to be my new favorites. I have dark skin, so my favorite browns that look neutral on me is are Embark and Brown Down. The paint pots that are my favorite are Indianwood, Blackground and Constructivist. I of course love Fluidline as well in Blacktrack and Dipdown.

@hopefulone311 yeah you can :) not the boxed ones obviously, but with the ones laid out on display in the little compacts you are definitely allowed.

this may vary depending on whether its a mac store or a department store counter, personally ive only ever been to the mac store, and thats the case there.

My favorites are Nylon, Carbon...and Humid..=) I recently bought..buck? I think..and I like it.. it actually works really nicely for adding on top of your liner to make it more intense without being too dark, it still looks almost black but it isn't as intense..=)

eyeshadows are about 20 dollers canadian. or $16.50 in american dollers (i am in canada)

It is worth it , if you enjoy makeup and were it daily MAC is the way to go.

They are all highly pigmented and apply nicely they all blend great!

There brushes are pretty expensive aswell as there foundations.

remember these 2 words WORTH IT!

I love Kid and Blackberry. Blackberry looks deep but is really a pretty, soft color. I have very fair skin and can't do the very vivid colors (I'm 53, so am careful about color intensity and frosts at my age). Anyway, it's beautiful and Kid will be the first MAC shadow I will run out of--I use it every day for neutral eye in my crease. Love your videos!

@luvmykatz you're smart to stay away from vivid colors they can be tricky for more mature age groups. but don't be afraid to experiment with satin and frost finishes in earth tones( beiges, tans, gold, bronzes, browns) or lighter pastel shades ( pink or peach). You'd be surprised how nice it looks if you pick the right shade for your skin. Those colors are subtle but the shimmer will add a little sophistication and well still be age appropriate

Thank you for your reply. I do love the pinks and peaches--I use pink all the time with soft browns. That is my everyday look. I have been trying to find a nice, soft shimmer for my eyelid--the only place I would put it. A lot of colors are too strong for me because of my coloring (and my age).  I have to keep things fairly delicate. But, I have learned a lot from watching the tutorials and am branching out a bit! Thanks again.
