  • Badass trying that tomorrow.

  • reminds me of an old godzilla movie.

  • Very nice. This is very helpfull.

    Thank you!

  • u need decent flexibility for that

  • @SGSacaindo916 yeah but you can also make enough space to hip out and change angle. that way you dont have to bend your leg up like that.

  • @SGSacaindo916 If you don't have good leg flexibility, fighting off your back is not for you.

  • @LemonNation If you don't have good leg flexibility, work on it until you do..

  • crazy shit/ love it

  • Marcelo Garcia is awesome. The Micheal Jordan of the sport. I don't ever see people defend triangles that way though, just power bombs and hand on head. I think different style though in the United States with so many wrestlers converting to submission grappling. Still no one on this earth I would rather learn from. I'll rep this tonight and try this set up for a triangle in class tomorrow.

  • @MrFrankfrog I actually use this exact counter for the triangle. lol Now I know the re-counter. I wonder if there's a re-re-counter.

  • @insdel2004 there's always a re-re-re-counter... and a counter for that. That's one of the things that makes grappling beautiful

  • I wanna see them do that naked.. mmh

  • butrown belt did a nice cutting elbow submission on me.... stunned and thought that was sweet......there are lots more options to do

  • i love everything i have seen from marcelo he is superb but i dont know why he did this technique......just wouldnt work.... when someone clasps there hands tight.....its to defend you from moving your hips....hence that hip movement he does will not! work .....there are alot of other things you can do to counter that defence but that is not one of them i can grip around ppls legs and they cant move... ive done this to purple belts and one brown belt....none have finished with the triangle

  • @chocymachado I guess he is not holding your legs , he is just trying to protecthis arm, I think it can works, Braulio changes to this triangle in his DVD also.

  • Okay? Okay?

  • Why won't it work!!!

  • SNEAKY!!!

  • Excelente

  • Whoever was talking in the background was distracting the heck out of me.

  • Uhhh.. it was Marcelo talking. The other guy just translates to English as Marcelo says it.

  • no its no true for any art jackass, bjj is the best face it

  • Lmao. What a sneaky fucking trick.

  • impresive :>

  • lol, dont u just love BJJ. Theres a counter to a counter to a counter :)

  • the same is true of just about any art

  • @0833821327 actually that goes for alot of martial arts that arnt sports based jiujitsu is it only one the does that the ins both real life and sports

  • excelente

  • are the uniforms necessary?

  • Depends on your preference, goals, direction and what you want to get out of it.

  • what happens if the guy your rolling with has like a 50" back and you cant even reach around him, it seems like alot of the techniques would never work on a big guy

  • usually you want top position on a bigger guy...in this scenario I would try for a sweep instead of a sub...

  • You are absolutely correct, and if you watch Marcelo's fight against larger opponent's, he doesn't even waste time by trying to take them down, he simply pulls guard, sweeps, then usually gets a rear naked choke.

  • Iv only started jiu jitsu and this mite sound like a stupid question, but is a straight headlock against the rules?

  • rear naked choke... is that wat ur talking about... all chokes are leagel

  • only spine cranks are illegal in black belt to my knowledge

  • I does not matter if he competes or not. He would play with all the guys you mentioned. Ask around to some real BJJ black belts and they will confirm your doubt. What belt are you and how long you been training? People that know ,know who the biggest dog is and its RICKSON. Do you roll with black belts?

  • yes i do, and yes rickson is amazing but it would be unfair to rank him, im only ranking guys who compete right now

  • It seemed as though you were talking about the BEST and I was just saying that Rickson hasnt been taped out in like 30 years and the last guy was Carlson Gracie Sr. (RIP to the Best EVER) There are alot of great guys and the ones you mentioned are all great. Train On!! Damian Maia is pretty frickin good ...I am a big fan of guys like Wallid. Carlson Jr. told me that if you beat him he would keep you on the mat until he had his Revenge. Carlsons Expression is Priceless in the Royce vs Wallid

  • no,

rolls gracie was the last one to tap out rickson. rolls use to dominate rickson.

  • Where are you getting your info?

  • this is common knowledge, go read any gracie interview and they talk about it. even rickson himself said this in interviews.

carlson gracie was old by the time rickson was a black belt. he wouldnt have tapped him.

  • Dead Wrong..Rickson was born in 58' Rolls died in 82' Making Rickson 24 at the time of Rolls death. Carlson Was born in 35' making him in his late 40s. Carlson was family champion and could tap out everyone even in his late 60s. I know this cause I trained with Carlsons son Jr. Rickson got good because he trained with Carlsons guys. There was only one school that could even touch Carlsons and it was one of Sr. black belts Oswaldo Alvares(I dont know if its spelled right)

  • bullshit. rolls trained with carlson for a while. But rickson never did, your just talking bullshit . look up his interviews.

  • Rolls taught at Carlsons school and yes Rickson was never tapped out in competition as a black belt but I am talking not in competition I am talking about in the Dojo

  • when rickson got his black belt at 18, only rolls could tap him out. carlson was old, he didnt even train with rickson that much. They didnt even talk to each other that often.

  • Well Carlson Gracie Jrs school is in Chicago and you can go tell him what you think. You think people thrash Helio in his 90s? Just cause he is old. That old man will break your fucking shit off. Carlson was the family champion and destroyed Rickson back in the day. But tell you story to Jr. I am done with this argument

  • carlson was the family champion in the 50's and 60', rolls gracie was the champion in the 70's early 80's. rolls use to tap rickson. no one else could. stop acting dumb. helio can still roll but will he tap black belts at 90? no... stop being stupid

  • Read " The Gracie Way" and you will have the info. When Rolls died Rickson was only a purple belt. Then he went and trained with Carlsons guys and got thrashed. He then went and trained with Oswaldo who was a Carson black belt(I think he is a red belt now) And yes Helio taps black belts in his 90s. How long and where do you train and what belt are you?

  • ive read the gracie way and its not true.

rickson got his black bet at 18 you idiot. stop making shit up. carlson has said no one from his team could ever beat rickson. One person gave him trouble i forgot his name. helio dosent even roll that much anymore, let alone with black belts. He does not tap 27 year old in prime blackbelts. This is real life and not a movie. Their are no 150 year old black belt masters that can beat everyon up

  • A guy named Silvio (MS) thrashed Rolls Which acorrding to you means he would thrash Rickson .He was a black belt under Carlson .I am not making shit up. I was trying to pass on some cool information. You will not tell me where you train so I dont know why you are in doubt. I trained with Jr. for a while and Now with Rob Bihn ,Aaron Thomas all these guys are under Carlson. Jr. lived in Cincinnati for a while. Once again where ..how long and what belt.

  • Wikipedia Rolls Gracie to see the connection. Rolls taught at Carlsons school where Rickson trained...Carlson could beat them ALL. Call Pete The Greek or Carlson Gracie Jr. in Chicago or Jacare Cavalcanti is in Atlanta.... Rickson did not get his BB from Rolls

  • Marcelo freekin rules ! Just a slight shift and the technique has a new dimension. Evolution.

  • If that technique was a woman i would tear that UP

  • prob the best new gen grappler in the world

  • I think jacare is definitely in his league

  • He is also a much bigger guy. Watch him and Randy go at it ... pretty cool..J

  • marcelo is amazing, but roger is the best

    roger

    marcelo

    jacare maybe xande

  • Best is relative...Roger is bigger...There is a best and his name is Rickson son. What belt are you and who do you train with and how long! Really to say such stuff is silly...The best BJJ guy on this planet right now is Rickson. The best new gen BJJ guys are the guys you mention. True that...

  • roger has amazing technique. rickson is amazing but you can't put him in the running right now because he dosent't compete. We all know michael jordan is the best basketball player of all time but the best player right now is kobe bryant

  • Bro no one doubts Rickson was a legend and no one doubts Rickson today. BUT NO ONE, doubts Marcelo.

  • Marcelo

    Roger

    Jacare

    BJ

  • no, bj isnt on there. bj is amazing but he isnt on there because he hasnt competed in 8 years.

    roger

    marcelo

    jacare

    xande

  • Very nice technique 1

  • man thats just so damn beautiful no wonder nobody can handle marcelo right now

  • I like that. Sweet technique.

  • great

  • Sweet....
