Sorry, but one or two good British good films doesn't mean they are overall good. Most semi talented British actors head to the US (Hollywood) for a reason. The talent lies there- in particular in directing.
The Americans don't celebrate whenever any of their movies wins a prize or nomination, because winning is common place with them, in particular in their movie industry.
@ariaane Fair enough we only have a few good films and true there is more talent in america director/producer etc wise, thats because are countries the size or a town in your country if that, but there is a reason for most of the british actors going there, its called money.
I have to disagree with the comment you made in regards to the characters making stupid or typical horror movie decisions. I felt that, especially the main female lead, the choices made were logical and they didn't result to bumbling sob-and-wait-to-die behavior. I found it realistic in that regard.
Great movie, though...It had an amazing, and shocking ending.
Really good review my man. Just watched it and even though I'm a horror fan all I'm trying to do now is forget about it. Probably didn't help that I'm a Brit myself. D:
In the UK, there are chavs just like these kids. They are rude, obnoctious and not a care in the world for any thing else except for them selves. They can give you an uncomfortable feeling and they don't give a fuck.
Thats not to say that they're all doing as the film, but wouldn't put it past them.

I generally hate British films because they suck, but Plague Town along with Eden lake make my top 20 horror movies list.
