Well to be honest, you had Mark Whalberg playing Chris Cole in Rock Star and that film was fantastic, so lets see what Cruise has to offer, to be honest, im not really looking forward to this, it looks like it is just going to rip off the 80s and have all of the stereotypes in there but for the wrong reasons. Lets hope I'm wrong
@daaskapital1 Yeah, man. I saw the show on Broadway last month and he was phenominal. I had no idea he was a rock star in Austrailia, but he proved it with his sick vocals. He did his rock howls even better than Maroulis, I swear.
@MissSara121 me neither, he is so not the type to play this character... he is to much of a good guy himself. But I also heard that his part is going to be a lot different then it is in the musical. I heard that the moviecharacter of Stacee Jaxx will be more of a goodguy then a sex, drugs and rock and roll type. That would be really a shame, because I loves this character in the musical. It spiced it up a little
I never saw the Broadway production, but from watching quite a few clips of it and seeing the Toronto production four times, I have to say that I think the Toronto cast has got one up on Broadway, which I never thought I'd say... but I'm really proud of the Toronto theatre scene now :) (not that I wasn't proud before ;) )
@hmg89 I'm not saying anything against the broadway cast, just saying that I'm really proud of the local crew... wasn't meant to be offensive or judgemental

How the hell can you have musical called "Rock of Ages" and not even feature the song ROCK OF AGES?
