how did you teach coco "go lay down"? that's an awesome trick! i have a nearly 2 yr old red doxie and would love to teach him that :)

@pennymofolane09 Lots of treats and praise when she did what we wanted! :) We had to get the stay command down first, but once she figured that out, training her for the go lay down command didn't take too long.

@teslapuppy Hi!! Two things: We use treats for motivation in her case pupperoni which we only give when she does a trick or does something we really want her to know we are happy that she did, i.e., go pee outside :), so there isn't anything she won't do for them. The other thing we used to train her and I would highly recommend it is the book by Victoria Stillwell based on her show called "It's Me or the Dog." She has a lot of very helpful hints in there about dog training.

@teslapuppy We started with sit for the first trick. She picked that up pretty quick, then we did stay command, then when she kept getting in the way while I was cooking in the kitchen the go lay down command and it is VERY helpful, especially when we have company. she has finally learned to roll over so now we are moving on to the next trick of "bang" where she plays dead. :) Good luck with Tesla!

awww this is so adorable (: Cocoa is a very beautiful dachshund, i love hur color :D i have two doxies too, that only learned a few tricks (: check our vids out and plz sub and add us as ur friend thnx :-)

@niteflyer21 Lol! We started her young. She is only about 6 months right now, but one thing we use always are treats and we only use them for that so it truely is a treat. She will do anything for them! :)
